    Hi Claire, thanks for your interest in this idea. Although we haven't enabled the option to exclude a balance sheet from sole trader accounts within Xero HQ we wanted to share this very exciting update with you. We recently released a direct import of the P&L from Xero onto the self-employment worksheet within Personal Tax, without the need to map the account codes and generate a set of sole trader accounts.

    Previously we only supported an import from Sole Trader Accounts to Personal Tax which for some of our partners involved an extra step, particularly for smaller clients who typically only receive Income & Expenditure accounts. We hope by adding this functionality that you will be able to maximise the more flexible reporting capabilities within Xero to produce accounts for sole traders.     Hi Victoria, thank you for sharing this idea with is. We understand that while the Fixed Assets module is a core part of Xero, many practices use specialized external software or custom spreadsheets to manage their asset registers. Currently, the UK Tax and Accounts Production workflow is designed to pull directly from the Xero Fixed Asset module to ensure data integrity, but we recognize that being "forced" into this workflow can create extra manual work for those using external tools.

    Hi team, to export a list of all Tracking categories in your org, you may find the Tracking Summary report of use to you here. Alternatively, you could run the Account Transactions report and Summarise by the Tracking category. 

    The one caveat here for both reports is that they'll only show a list of the tracking options that have been used within the date range the report is run.

    Hi Kelly, thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately the requirement to filter by account group means that this doesn't pick up all categories in the date range selected, so this doesn't solve the problem for me.

    Completely agree that this needs implementing. As a result of archived tracking categories, the historic profit and loss reports by tracking category don't add up!!

    Hi team, wanting to provide an update to you here, we want you to know we understand the efficiency more users would like to have in being able to automate the creation of the Xero subscription invoice inside their Xero org.

    To highlight from my last update for UK users this is possible with eInvoicing through the online invoice (My Bills page).

    This is still something we're interested in developing in more regions however isn't planned in our roadmap just yet.

    When resource opens up for us to be able to pick this work up we will share an update with you all on this here. Thanks for staying engaged and supporting in this idea.
