   Hey everyone, we've been following the conversation closely and we want to acknowledge how important this is for many of you.

   Atm, we’re on a long journey to provide more controls within Xero features that our customers need. Being such a broad idea that touches many areas of our platform, we’d like to encourage adding your votes to specific user permissions that matter most to you, such as:

   • Bank Accounts: For more control over who can see bank account balances and access specific accounts, please see the idea here: User Role - Restrict access to individual bank accounts
   • Sales and Invoicing: If you’d like to see changes to permissions around sales reporting and editing invoice templates, you can follow that conversation here: User roles: Restrict access to Invoice Settings
   • Reports: To have your say on restricting access to specific reports, the relevant idea is here: User permissions - Assign user access to specific reports

   This change will allow us to focus on the more specific requests to explore. If you don’t see the user permission you’re after, raise a new idea here.

   Is Xero staff / management even looking at this product ideas page?

   I have been following these comments the last few months and I cannot understand that Xero developers / management has not responded in anyway regarding this issue. I have raised this issue on numerous occasions during certification webinars but got no proper response, it is if they are talking / dancing around the issue. Honestly, I have started looking again a Sage Cloud as alternative for my clients and seriously considering moving all of them. I just feel Xero is still spending time on creating additional reports, while the needs of their Xero Advisors are not addressed.

   Come on Xero. You can see from all the replies that the access level of users need to get attention. Please spend some time on this, than rather upgrading report structures.

   Hey everyone, thanks so much for sharing all your ideas and detailed suggestions for a comprehensive Audit Trail Report.

   Through some of the comments in this discussion we wanted to highlight the Journal Report that may help with visibility of detail some are after. We've taken on board your thoughts on how this could be enhanced, like including an 'edited date' column and improving the export to Excel, however this is not in the roadmap right now.

   Being open, providing a complete audit trail of every single event and change within an organisation is not in our plans.

   That said, it’d help to gather interest in specific items you'd like to see added within the history and notes and I've shared links to a few ideas that have already been started on the platform. We welcome you to add your vote, or start a new idea for those that'd be most helpful for you.

   • User Permissions - History recorded of role changes and ability to add description
   • History & Notes | Include item for invoice Sent (Via email or E-Invoice)
   • Contacts - View all transactions history & notes from contact record
   • Document pack - History of reminders sent in Tax

   Since this idea was originally started we’ve uplifted the History and Notes to provide easier control and search of events, and we're continuously working to improve reporting and data integrity in Xero.

   Your details and insights shared here have all been fed back to our product teams and are incredibly useful as we shape our future roadmap. We appreciate you all for sharing your thoughts.
