Hi community, thank you to everyone who's shared and supported the ability to email credit notes to Xero.
We understand why you'd like to be able to automate the flow and entry of Credit Notes in Xero, however this isn't something we have plans of developing within Xero right now.
As mentioned in my last update it's possible to currently automate entry of Credit Notes in Xero, by publishing these through Hubdoc -You can find steps to connecting Hubdoc to your Xero organisation, or detail on publishing Credit notes, on Xero Central.
If there are any changes put in place for this, we'll let you know.

Hi team, we appreciate the idea here is more surrounding the ability to create rules to help curate the automated entry of data in bills created via the email to bills process.
However, I did just want to confirm the existing options that are available to help with the automatic entry of your bills as there are multiple paths you could explore.
As per this idea, in it's current form email to bills will use the data of your emailed file to automatically create a bill and fill fields.
There is also Hubdoc that you can connect to your organisation and use to publish bills to your organisation, and most recently we introduced Upload where you can upload multiple files to Xero at once to create multiple draft bills.
We don't have any plans around expanding email to bills to add the ability to set rules. but we'll continue to…

It would be helpful if the 'Account' field on draft bills was prepopulated, either from the the last bill for that contact, or from the 'Purchase Account' in the contact default set up. Using the 'add last items' option also populates the description which usually needs to be edited.

Our Clients have recurring annual renewals of contracts so making the quotes repeating would save a huge amount of time, form having to copy to a new quote when the current year is accepted and invoiced. We can just adjust for any price changes without having to recreate the entire quote.
\ss the function is already available for invoices, it would seem to be straightforward enough to apply to Quotes- I'm sure all Xero users would benefit from it at some time
