Some light at the end of the tunnel, perhaps?

Earlier this year we announced the farewell of our classic invoicing product to pave the way for something new, and to allow us to build more of the invoicing features you and your clients have been asking for, on a single platform going forward. We’re confident that this change is the right move longer term for you and your clients to gain more invoicing features faster.

That said, we’re approaching a really busy time of the year and want to make this transition as smooth as possible. That’s why we’re extending the availability of classic invoicing to 27 February 2025.

We’ve integrated many of the features you love from classic invoicing and have been taking the feedback you've provided into the development of new invoicing, and we will continue to add more features to our new platform, before the end of February.

There will be new workflows for you and your clients to familiarise yourself with so if you need help along the way, our new invoicing education hub is the best place to get started.

As always, your feedback is essential, so please share your thoughts on Xero Product Ideas. Your input ensures new invoicing can continue to meet and we hope, exceed you and your clients' expectations as we evolve it. Please check out Xero Central for the latest updates and helpful resources.

    Thanks for your continued support.

@Laine Ratsep. The contempt Xero continues to show professional users of this software is outrageous. I get nothing from my Account Manager and nothing when I put this issue directly to senior Xero reps at their live events.

From Pat at Xero Support 29 Oct 24: Hi Scott

I want to make it clear that it is not our intention to remove the autosave feature or make it optional. We've got some very interesting feedback on autosave on quotes, which is yet to be implemented. If you're interested in seeing the sentiment from users around the lack of the autosave feature for quotes, feel free to have a read through the comments on the product idea.

The auto save is making it impossible to update details in the reference field from repeating invoices. I have been trying to get support to take this seriously since 22 Dec 2022! Now we are about to be forced to use new invoicing. This is such an issue for my day to day work that it may be the last straw for me and Xero.

We already have this feature. Xero chose to remove it as part of the never-ending transition to STP2.

This should be a no-brainer for Xero now that STP2 requires mileage claims to be classified as allowances. We can no longer include mileage claims on time sheets as OTE under STP2. This will affect many workers and creates a lot of additional work to capture and record these claims every payday.
