Hi everyone, we just wanted to provide a quick update on this one as the upcoming payday super changes will be top of everyone's minds.
The current approval step is important for both cash flow management and security and the community has also suggested a few different ideas on how to approach this:
- Setting up multiple auto super authorisers - currently in discovery
- Super Payment Authorisation via Xero Verify - currently gaining support
If either of these ideas reflects what’d work best for you, please add your vote, to help us get a clearer understanding what matters most to our community.
When we’re through the thick of EOY and initial payday super is rolled out, our product team will circle back around to these ideas to review.

With so many votes and requests I don't understand why this still hasn't been included, seems like such a small functionality requirement which would make a big difference for those using large numbers of tracking categories

Hi everyone, we’ve taken time to review the suggestion to include custom fields for both invoices and contacts, and recognise the value it'd bring in helping users capture more detailed information and avoid manual processes.
However, with other focuses drawing the teams attention such as multiple addresses this idea is not on our current development roadmap.
As we continue to plan future roadmaps, being highly supported this idea will continue to be considered, however we want to be open about it's current position with you all here. We appreciate you sharing your feedback and for your ongoing participation in the Xero community. Any changes to this status will be shared with everyone on this idea.

This is the most painful part of Xero. But I don't hold out hope Xero will do anything after two years of people asking for this which is disappointing.
