Hi Natalie. Thanks for sharing your idea for a preconfigured contractor type for Performing Artists.
In regards to applying GST for contractors, this is actually an existing Product Idea. I've added your vote to it so we can keep you updated :)
On this idea, we will focus just on the Performing Artist contractor type.
It's now up to the community to let us know how an additional contractor type would improve their Xero experience.
Along with votes, other members can now comment to share additional detail about how your idea could improve their experience with Xero.

Hi everyone, a quick update on multi-authorisation for Payday Super.
We recognise that multi-authorisation is a priority for many of you, particularly as Payday Super approaches and businesses review how they manage super payments in Xero.
Our Product team is actively working on an enhanced workflow for this, which is on track for release next quarter.
We’ll share more updates as soon as we have more to confirm.

Hi team, we appreciate the interest here especially with upcoming Payday Super. I'd like to share that notifications and prompts are being developed with some of the changes we're working on, and achieve what's being asked here.
I'll round back when this is live and confirm what these look like to help in your processing of Superannuation here.

Why can’t we be notified through the clients Xero notifications icon if Super payment fails, or one employee’s super bounces back? Would love to see Super verification confirmation when creating employee record and payrun.

It’s actually a nightmare! Set up the contractor as a supplier, send employee info pdf along with super choices form, set them up as an employee, run a nil payroll with super only, make sure you don’t pay super on GST portion of invoice, send them a payment slip and payment summary. All this for paying TV commercial talent rollover payments for campaigns that only run once a year! Ridiculous! Not Xero’s fault, it’s the legislation that didn’t foresee the huge burden that it places on businesses. All the research I’ve had to do to get this right! About time the ATO issued flowcharts for processes like this. Especially when we are unable to seek guidance from the ATO without the client’s/employer’s permission.

This is critical given the new timeline to correct failed super submissions and the associated penalties. An email to my subscription email address is very easy to miss. A notification within the clients Xero file and a widget in the Xero Partner Hub or a column in the Hub's Client Insights tab.
