Hi team, we appreciate the interest here especially with upcoming Payday Super. I'd like to share that notifications and prompts are being developed with some of the changes we're working on, and achieve what's being asked here.

It’s actually a nightmare! Set up the contractor as a supplier, send employee info pdf along with super choices form, set them up as an employee, run a nil payroll with super only, make sure you don’t pay super on GST portion of invoice, send them a payment slip and payment summary. All this for paying TV commercial talent rollover payments for campaigns that only run once a year! Ridiculous! Not Xero’s fault, it’s the legislation that didn’t foresee the huge burden that it places on businesses. All the research I’ve had to do to get this right! About time the ATO issued flowcharts for processes like this. Especially when we are unable to seek guidance from the ATO without the client’s/employer’s permission.

Why can’t we be notified through the clients Xero notifications icon if Super payment fails, or one employee’s super bounces back? Would love to see Super verification confirmation when creating employee record and payrun.
