Hi everyone, we understand how frustrating it is when important emails like invoices are filtered or blocked, and how this affects customer trust and timeliness of engagement with your transactional communications. Thank you for continuing to share examples and highlighting the impact this has on your business.
We’ve made meaningful progress towards enabling email sending from your own domain. While progress is taking longer than we’d like, we can confirm that substantial backend work is underway. This work spans multiple interdependent teams across Xero, and there are still important steps we need to work through before we can release the capability to customers reliably.
As we continue to develop this capability, there are a few questions that would help our product teams ensure we’re solving the majority of our users’ needs in this space, with a reliable and secure solution.
We’d really appreciate your input on the following questions, either…

@Tim - I appreciate that 100%. My point was that this request is now almost 13 years old, and nothing has been done, so we decided to find an (ultimately better) alternative.
TLDR; Maybe focus on a solution, instead of ******* your head against a wall, where no one is obviously around to see your ongoing frustration.

We "solved" this issue by not sending invoices via Xero. Once an invoice is set to "Approved", it triggers a Make automation, which updates and associated invoice task in our ClickUp central hub, and that's where the invoice PDF then gets sent out to the client.
Whilst I appreciate this needs another tool to work, it has advantages:
- One central source of information
- A tool using our email address to send, which is properly validated in DNS
- Any client replies and further correspondence creates a clear thread in ClickUp

Account Transactions: Receipts - Send automated 'payment received' e-mail when payment is reconciled
564 votesHi everyone, we totally get how automating the sending of receipts when a transaction is reconciled would free up time and the manual task involved in this activity.
Though not in the pipeline at present, this is a feature our product team would like to explore more in the future.
We’ll be sure to update you all again when we are able to look into this deeper. Thanks
