Hey everyone, thank you for all your feedback. We’re on a long journey to provide more granular access and controls within Xero features that our customers need.
As you may have seen in some of our recent updates across other user roles ideas we’re currently in the process of adding more permissions within Reporting and Inventory. Further to this our research has highlighted Payroll and Banking as areas that more controls are most needed, and are on our agenda as we continue to develop permissions and access to features.
Your feedback here and through direct engagements with our teams have been extremely insightful, and we appreciate all your inputs.
I'll continue to provide updates on the development of roles for features as we progress.

Our firm have moved on at this point, no longer recommending Xero to clients who are more than just single owner company's. Bright Books offers much more in terms of levels of access to different modules for different staff. It also integrates with our practice software since Bright bought out the suite of softwares. They are now the market leader in my opinion in Ireland.

Our firm no longer recommends Xero for anyone who requires multi level user access. We have moved on because Xero has failed to.
Saying it would be a nice add on feature instead of referring to it as a critical flaw in their software, shows their development team simply don't understand how organisations actually work.

My client is looking at changing software at this point as they cannot comprehend how such a 'glitch' can happen. Clearly an issue with software developers not understanding needs and focusing on more '****' add ons!

The grouping of user settings/options on Xero seems illogical, Admin staff need access to sales invoicing and stock modules in full, so you would imagine IO+approve and pay would suffice, however it doesn't allow stock/products access properly. To do this, the user needs to be a standard user, and can then see all bank transactions and balances, which just seems bonkers? Why are stock functionality and bank access linked?

Xero just not listening. My suggestion is to start commenting under their ads on the likes of Facebook, may take some notice there as it will affect new clients signing up? Going on far too long now with no action.
