Hi team, thanks for sharing your feedback on permissions here. We really appreciate the strong interest in this area.
With the new client and staff experience, some of you may have already seen the updated Client permissions, which help address part of this need. We’ve also recently introduced a change that allows staff with view-only access to create and edit notes, which also reflects some of the feedback raised.
To be transparent, we don't have any plans in the near term to enable staff to edit contact groups or relationships without full edit access. As the team continues to develop the practice experience, they’ll keep monitoring feedback in this area, and if anything changes we’ll be sure to share an update here.

With our firm, we have had to lock down these permissions as staff were not updating the correct client details. We only give permissions for changes for specific people in the office.
This also allows admin to update all other areas and softwares that need to be changed that do not get updated if permissions are allowed for all staff.
