  1. Recent change in XPM has moved the old/archived jobs and invoices to a different tab. I prefer the old layout where you can see the current and old jobs all in one place/screen.

    The archived or old jobs have been moved to a different tab which means you cannot see both open and closed jobs at the same time. We rely on this when preparing annual accounts and tax returns because we often review all invoices or jobs for a full financial year, we hardly ever are only looking at the open jobs or invoices.     Hi everyone, upon further deep diving into the discussion raised here we are going to re-open this idea. We appreciate how being able to see both active and archived Jobs within a Client is useful to some practices workflows. We will be sure to share if there are any plans made around this with you here. Thanks

  2. Following the XPM updates in November and December 2025, the Tax Returns and Notes tabs no longer indicate whether a client has any open tax returns or existing notes.

    This indicator was previously used to quickly identify active items on a client without needing to open each tab, we are particularly missing the notes indicator.

    As similar indicators are still shown for Jobs and Invoices, it would be helpful for consistency and usability if this functionality could be restored for the Tax Returns and Notes tabs as well.

  3. Please bring back the search via address in the client page this was so helpful as it enabled us to find children or partners that may have a different last name and link them to the group.
    Previous layout was a lot better, disappointed in changes.

  4. Following the XPM updates in November and December 2025, the star indicator within client groups that identified the main entity has been removed.

    This indicator was heavily relied on to quickly identify the primary entity within a group. Please reinstate the star or an equivalent visual marker so the main entity can be clearly identified at a glance.

  5. Please add the address column back when you are viewing a client group. With new change to XPM we now have to go into each entity and make a note of what address they are at.

  6. Since the recent XPM update in Nov/Dec 2025, the group name is less prominent on the 'group' screen, and does not stand out as clearly as it did previously.

    The larger group name made it easier to identify which screen you were on, which is especially important now that many screens have a similar layout. Increasing the prominence or size of the group name again would improve clarity and usability.

  7. Since the recent update in Nov/Dec 2025, hovering over a client name on the XPM group screen shows a pop-up label that repeats the client name.

    This pop-up does not provide any additional information and often gets in the way while navigating the screen. Removing it would improve usability and reduce unnecessary on-screen clutter.

  8. The process for entering addresses for clients needs to be easier and more streamlined. It should default to Australia (the overwhelming majority of clients have Australian addresses). You should also be able to copy street address to postal address, rather than having to reenter the data.

    Hi Megan, thanks for your feedback on the new Partner Hub experience when entering client addresses. Your input is valuable to and appreciated. We have moved this idea to Gaining Support and the Product team will be looking over all the feedback from our customers/partners so they can get a better idea of the experience and functionality of the new platform.   9. Since the recent update in November/December 2025, when navigating back using the back arrow from a specific client, the system returns to the full client list rather than the client’s group.

    It would be more helpful if the back arrow returned users to the relevant group view instead of the full client list.

  10. We are not able to search for clients (whilst in the Clients tab) using TFN or ABN.

    We are also not able to search using client's TFN or ABN when using Global Search.

    TFN and ABN are unique search identifiers and will return the correct client every time.

    Hi everyone, thank you for your support on the idea here.

    Right now, our product team are looking into the ability to search via TFN from the Client list.

    They're in exploration atm, so I'll keep you updated on further progress here.

  11. In the old xero version, when you clicked on a client you could see a number next to "tax returns" for that entity. Now you have to click on the group to view, then click on Tax Returns to see who as an active tax return/activity statement.

    It would be helpful, that when you open a client, you can see if there are any active returns without having to click on "Tax Return"

    The new top toolbar, shows Active Jobs, but need it to show active Tax Returns.

    Great to be getting all this detail on small changes that would make a big difference for you managing clients in your practice.

    We'll continue to track the support this idea receives and I'll let you know if there are any updates planned.

  13. Since the recent update in Nov/Dec 2025, client notes are collapsed when they exceed a few lines, which makes it too easy to miss important information. All the notes we add in XPM are all relevant, we don't want any to be hidden.

    Previously, notes were fully visible by default. Restoring this behaviour would make critical information easier to see at a glance.

    If notes must remain collapsible, an option to show the full note by default would be preferred. Alternatively, the “show more” prompt should be much more visually prominent so it is not overlooked.

  14. It would be great to bring back the collapsible custom fields in XPM when editing client details. This previously made it much easier to jump between headings. With the new tabbed layout, all custom fields now appear in one long list with no distinction between headings, which means a lot more scrolling to find the fields we need to update.

    Hi Hannah, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the business structure view in Xero Practice Hub. It’s helpful to understand how important it is to see clearer client details at a glance when you’re managing groups of clients.

    Your suggestion around having a more detailed business structure breakdown makes sense, especially as broader categories like Other can cover a mix of different client situations.

  15. In the new Clients tab, to have the ability to customise where the details are showing in the Information tab.
    For instance, the Referral source (which we do not use) is currently showing at the top of the screen, whereas the IRD Number which is needed have to scroll down to view.

  17. I am hoping it might be possible to create a default for the Agent setting. If this were possible, when we add new clients onto XPM, the Agent field would default to our Agent details, as we only have one Agent to select from.

  19. Enable full visibility of Contacts when accessing via Additional Contacts area in Client screen.

    Currently, when we access a Contact via the Additional Contacts section of the Client screen, not all contact fields are displayed.

    Furthermore, when editing or adding a new contact, we cannot edit or access all the contact details. We cannot add or edit Mobile numbers or custom fields for Contacts. To access these, we have to exit the Client screen and access Contacts separately via Clients > Contacts.

    This adds a lot of extra steps that can be avoided by ensuring full visibility and full access…

  20. Prior to the new XPM update, viewing a group provided a detailed breakdown of each client's business structure. The new layout simplifies this into broad categories (individual, company, trust, partnership, other), meaning you now have to click into each client to see the specific details. For example, 'other' represents a range of options such as departing client, on hold due to non-payment, or a non-client entity. This makes it harder to understand a client's status at a glance.
