Hi community, thank you for all the engagement and we can see the growing interest in improvements to help simplify your view of information on the new Homepage and navigate important information and insights with more ease.
Right now, our team have a few pieces of work underway intended to help with some of the pain points that have been raised here these include:
- More options for the sizing of widgets so you can reduce these frames and better position this information on your screen
- More customisation of information within a widget like being able to remove visuals
- Improving the experience of moving widgets when editing the homepage to make it more obvious when dragging and dropping them to different positions on the page
We’ve also roadmapped further changes for later this year, once everyone is on the new experience. I’ll share more updates as we progress.

@Perry Paolantonio You’re 💯 right. Maybe if we all contact support they won’t be able to ignore us the way they’re ignoring this thread. It’s pretty ridiculous to tell people to post product ideas here when they can’t even be bothered to respond to people who’ve taken the time to engage with my original post.

@ Kelly Munro I have observed this week that several of my clients’ accounts have been moved to the beta version without their consent and with no option to revert to the previous interface. This is unacceptable. Clients pay for their subscriptions and should retain control over when—if ever—they transition to a beta environment. Forcing this change removes their choice and disrupts their workflows. I am requesting that this issue be addressed urgently and that an option to revert be reinstated.

Hi Kelly,
Thank you for your response and for welcoming further feedback on the new navigation. I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the beta and help shape improvements that benefit both advisors and clients.
While I understand the intention behind the new layout, I’d like to share some concerns raised by a few of my clients who have been transitioned to the beta experience. Three of them have expressed a strong preference to opt out of the new layout. However, despite attempting to opt out, the interface remains unchanged on their end.
Their main concern is that the dashboard now feels overly busy and cluttered, making it harder to navigate. Additionally, they’ve noted that the lower section of the dashboard is being used for advertising, which they find frustrating—especially considering they are on premium subscription plans and expect a clean, professional interface.
Simplicity and ease of use are key for many of our clients, and I believe these changes may be detracting from that experience.
Regards
Kelly

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on customising the “Reply-To” email address which payslips are sent. We appreciate you sharing how important it is to have control over the reply-to address, considering sometimes bookkeepers process payroll.
As you’re aware Xero has the functionality to set a default reply-to email address for some emails, however this doesn't extend to payslips.
Our product team sees merit in the idea for future development. We’ll update the status of this to Accepted so that it’s formally marked for consideration.

When distributing payslips to client employees via email, there should be a way to configure the reply-to address so that responses are directed to the client’s business email rather than the bookkeeper’s email address.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback and votes on adding birthday notifications to Australian payroll - we understand how this could help with team celebrations and managing age-based award rate compliance.
After reviewing with our product team, this feature isn't currently on our roadmap, and we'll update the status to 'Not in Pipeline'. Right now, setting up an external calendar could help you track these important dates.
We appreciate you all taking the time to share your feedback with us, and will continue to watch the traction this idea receives through Votes. If there is any change, we will share an update here.

eInvoice option should be able to be set in a clients contact card much like the Xero to Xero network key or as an option where these options are when emailing the invoice.

I feel that the new changes have made things slower for Clients and bookkeeper's
Some of the updates are not as straight forward.
We have been forced to use the new homepage, which is extremely cluttered and underwhelming, and we are repeatedly encountering the following error:
“We couldn’t load all your widgets or enable homepage editing right now. Refresh the page to try again.”
Refreshing the page results in a completely blank homepage with no data available. This is directly impacting our ability to work and is not acceptable.
I have also observed this issue across multiple clients’ Xero accounts today.
Given the severity and the widespread nature of the problem, this requires urgent investigation and resolution. At this point, your tagline “faster. smarter. better.” is not reflective of the current user experience — it is coming across as cluttered, underwhelming, and overpriced.
