Hi everyone, we know this remains a highly important request, and we appreciate the volume of detail you’ve shared around billing, delivery and contact management workflows in this idea.
As shared in our last update - our team has been progressing the next phase of work needed to bring this more meaningfully into invoicing.
We know many of you are looking for clearer timing, and while I’m not able to confirm a release date at this stage, I do want to reassure you this remains an active area of work for our product teams.
We’ll continue to return here with further updates as we move through the next stages. Thanks again for your patience and for continuing to share the workflows that make this so important.

Hi all, thank you for contributing to idea here. While our Inventory team have reviewed the idea for custom / tiered price lists in Xero, we want to be open that we do not have development planned for enabling more extensive Inventory management like this.
There are many Inventory apps that connect with Xero and offer these types of services and more - You can explore these on Xero App store. To be transparent we will update the status to not planned - If there is any change to this we will share with you here.

I am currently in a trial of Xero. It is beyond me that this feature does not exist and that it has sat on a todo list for over two years. This is a bedrock requirement of the product, without which I will have to do invoicing in something like Invoice Ninja. At that point, the value of paying for Xero is nearly defeated.
My needs are this:
monthly invoice: INV-M-#####
progressive invoice: INV-P-#####
A progressive invoice covers any additional work not covered by a monthly contract.
My thinking is in line with Tracey Mahoney. Let the prefix be part of the template.
