Hi everyone, thanks for your continued feedback about managing working patterns for part-time employees.
We’re pleased to share that we plan to begin rolling out working patterns in AU Payroll later this year.
The first release will allow you to set a one-week work pattern for each employee. This pattern will automatically be used for leave and public holiday calculations in the pay run. At this stage, you’ll still need to update the employee’s pay template separately to reflect their standard working hours.
We plan to build on this foundation by connecting working patterns with standard hours in the pay run and supporting a broader range of working patterns. We’ll share more details as the first release gets closer.

Wondering how far away this development is? This time of year is an absolute nightmare with the Public Holidays and part-time staff. It was much quicker with the previous software we used, as it recognised each employee's individual work pattern.

This is absolutely essential. All the benefits of moving from MYOB to Xero are being undone by the wasted time each payroll day, with having to "fix" annual leave requests for all part-time staff.

Hi 👋 everyone, we appreciate all the feedback. We understand if you're in and out of many different client orgs each day why you'd like to be able to increase this drop down.
We're keeping a close eye on the interest for this here and will share if there are any plans made.

This is a great idea. There's currently just blank space below the organisation menu at the moment, so would make sense to list more than five companies at a time.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback and for sharing your experiences with leave requests for employees who work non-standard hours.
Later this year, we plan to release the first stage of Working Patterns in AU Payroll.
This will allow users to set a one-week work pattern for each employee, which will automatically be used for leave and public holiday calculations in the pay run.
This initial release will establish the foundation for supporting a broader range of working patterns in the future, including more complex or changing schedules.
We’re moving this idea to Accepted while we explore how leave requests could work for these employees. Please continue sharing your specific scenarios, as they’ll help inform how we develop this functionality.

does anyone know if there are any add-on's that integrate with Xero & help with his (e.g. HR software where you apply for & approve the correct amount of leave) ?
