Appreciate the feedback and how this would be useful when your reference is driven off the contact's account number.
It's not something we have plans for right now, but do share your idea with others that you feel would find this helpful so they can add their support for your idea here. We'll keep a close eye on the interest and share of there's any progress.

Appreciate the feedback here team. We'll track the interest for this here, however not something we have direct plans of right now.
Perhaps, right now the Contact Account Number could be used for this?

@kelly can you explain a little further what you mean please?
It really shouldn't be difficult to have the reference on an invoice point to whatever field in a contact we choose. I didn't realise this website existed so now it does I'll be adding my vote to all sorts of things! thank you :)A Bridge
