Hey community, we understand an option to import Projects is something everyone that's voted on this idea would find valuable, and that this could speed up your workflow and improve accuracy when managing a high volume of projects or migrating from another system.
While not a solve for all aspects of a project, within the bills side of things we released the ability to upload bills that might reduce the time taken in manually entering data for project related bills, now.
Being open and honest, we don't have any plans for enabling the import of projects to Xero. We know this isn't the update you're hoping for here, but want to give clear expectation so you can make the best decision for your business.

Hi team, appreciate wanting an update - I'm pleased to share the beta went well and we've now launched international bill payments for our UK customers, making it easier to pay overseas suppliers.
Using open banking, UK businesses can now securely send money to 180+ countries including Europe (EUR), America (USD) and Australia (AUD). So you don't have to juggle multiple platforms or hidden fees. Whether you're paying a single bill or multiple bills at once, you can authorise payments prepared by your team and easily track which suppliers have been paid.
We’re committed to new ways to expand our bill payments feature for small businesses and their advisors in other regions by leveraging new technologies, where available. I'll keep you updated of any further developments for this, here.

Since there's an import for SL, why not include in the PL function? Xero, please acknowledge and make changes that would impact processing for those who actually do the detail work, not just run reports.

There have been no comments or updates since the original post in 2023. There are also still no comments from Xero and no communication.

Do any of these people from Xero read the comments? Or do comments have to read a certain number before they 'automatically' trigger an alarm at their end?

It would be a time-saver process for us bookkeepers out there! Makes soooo much sense since we import invoices, bills, and bank statements.
PLEASE PLEASE develop this process!
We build our projects on a database system the company has used for over 20 years, and it's pretty solid. It records all our outgoings per project for each supplier/ freelancers. It would be great to import all this information into the PROJECTS feature, which would cut the time spent manually entering it and reduce the chance of mistakes. Also, when running finance reports in Xero, especially for P&L, we don't have this to see our outgoings... doesn't it make sense that this feature should be standard, since who doesn't want to know the cost price per project to see if it is profitable? Currently, you need to upgrade for this...Xero-an accounting platform?
