We are a booking agent and collect revenue less costs from venues , I currently use sales invoice to record sales(settlement) and enter costs as a negative amount that are an expense in my project, Project treats the deductions as a reduction in income not an expense, can this be fixed?
2 votesHi Tara, it sounds like you're using invoices as a single source to record all this information? However, I'd recommend looking into Xero Projects where you'll be able to enter bills for your venue expenses and invoices for the income you'll receive from the project.

How to make Xero projects report in Zoho Analytics
I have Integrated the Zoho Analytics with Xero through the Import Service in Zoho Analytics. But I am unable to fetch the Xero project module data, rest other modules data I received in Zoho Analytics.
Please let me know how i can get the projects module data also. So I can create reports over Xero project module in Zoho Analytics , and can include this report in the dashboard which I have created in Zoho Analytics.1 voteHi Stefano, we have an API ideas forum where these sort of integration requests are best suited. Tracking - Functionality for Rental Property Management
Have two codes - one for rental income & one for rental expenses.
When reconciling bank transactions to these codes, have the ability to allocate them to a property.
Have a feature where you can view the outstanding transactions for each property and select the transactions to go on the statement to the client for that month.
Auto generate the management fee for the month based on pre-selected criteria for that property - either % or fixed amount.
Auto generate a bill from this statement for the money that needs to be paid to the landlord.4 votesThanks for sharing and your interest in the idea here. Being open this isn't a feature we have any plans of implementing in the near term.
However, some of what's been described here can be achieved using Tracking. For example, you could create accounts in your Chart of Accounts for Rental Income and Rental Expenses. You'd then use a Tracking category for your Properties, listing each property as a separate option within that category.
Alternatively, if you're after more specific tools for managing properties we'd recommend looking into apps that can integrate with Xero and offer more services that could suit your business.

Zendesk Time Tracking Integration
I would love to see an integration with Zendesk to track time spent on tickets to be invoiced in Xero. I know this can by done with WorkflowMax but I don't want yet another app to deal with, it would be great to have this directly in Xero.
1 voteHI Christopher, Xero offers the ability for interested parties to build an integration with Xero, however OI want to be open that we don't regularly design an build integration with other applications ourselves.

The primary way to link repeating invoice line items to a project is to manually assign them to the project once the invoice has been generated, though we know you're looking for ways to streamline this process.
We've carefully reviewed all your comments and the strong desire for this functionality, however after much consideration, we've decided that we won't be developing the ability to assign repeating invoices to projects in the foreseeable future.

Projects - Ability to import to projects
Ability to import bills, invoices and project lists into Xero Projects.
Purpose: It is beneficial for organisation that heavily rely on Xero projects, as this feature will help them do their invoicing and track their expenditure.
228 votesHey community, we understand an option to import Projects is something everyone that's voted on this idea would find valuable, and that this could speed up your workflow and improve accuracy when managing a high volume of projects or migrating from another system.
While not a solve for all aspects of a project, within the bills side of things we released the ability to upload bills that might reduce the time taken in manually entering data for project related bills, now.
Being open and honest, we don't have any plans for enabling the import of projects to Xero. We know this isn't the update you're hoping for here, but want to give clear expectation so you can make the best decision for your business.

Tracking - Make mandatory / required
Make it mandatory to add tracking to items where available e.g Purchase Orders, Invoice, Bill, Expense
Purpose: Prompt for users when manually entering invoices, and assurity that each line has been allocated to a tracking option

Right now, you could use find and recode to assign a tracking option to any transaction lines that are currently unassigned.
Regarding the future of this idea, we've carefully reviewed all your feedback and the critical need you've expressed for this feature. While we understand the value and time-saving potential this improvement would bring, we want to be transparent that making tracking categories mandatory across all relevant transactions isn't on our roadmap for development. If our position of this changes in time, we'll share an update for everyone, here.
