    Hi everyone, we'd like to provide an update as we’ve recently launched the new Manual Journals experience in the US, in which this idea has now been addressed.

    From the Manual Journals list, you can toggle the “Show manual journals on a cash basis” setting on or off. This sets the default for all journals you create in that org, and it can also be changed within individual journals.

    This is currently available in the US only, but we’re planning to roll it out to other regions soon. I’ll keep this thread updated as it lands in more places.

    It's shocking that something so fundamental has been outstanding for approaching half a decade. They couldn't find a single programmer to swap the default state of a tick box, but they're happy to thrash out this new liquid glass eyesore. Software for Small Businesses TM, especially if you despise your accountants

    Hi team, appreciate this idea is specifically around how you can process Manual Journals within new Xero Workpapers.

    Right now the selection of whether to show a journal on cash basis reports is only available when posting Manual journals within an organisation at present.

    Our product team are still making improvements within the new Workpapers experience and using feedback from the forums here to inform their roadmap.

    This isn't planned at present, but I'll be sure to let you know if there are any plans made around enabling this selection within our new Xero Workpapers solution, here.
