Thank you for sharing your suggestion for setting a specific allocation date for credit notes against invoices or bills. This would provide a smooth solution for linking invoices and credit notes across different financial years after lock dates have been set.
Now it's up to the community to get behind this idea support it. Make sure you share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too!

Thanks for your detailed feature request to introduce task categories and sub-tasks in Xero Projects.
We’ve reviewed your submission and have now moved it to the Gaining Support stage.

Many of our projects have several dozen tasks assigned to different teams. New tasks are added constantly. Being able to reorder/group tasks would be a huge time saver for both management and staff.

I am also on a semi-annual calendar as-of 2026. I can see how complicated my 2026-H1 taxes will be if this option isn't available. Perhaps add a field that defaults to 1 that can be changed to 6 with a monthly selection to repeat every 6 months. This is how recurring events are setup in popular applications like Outlook.
Without this feature it looks like the payment screen will not like the variance between the amount due (based on period selected) and amount paid.
