Hi team, we'd like to share another update as work for allowing direct wage payments via open banking with Crezco is well underway.
We look forward to updating everyone on this idea as soon as this is released.
As previously mentioned - we want to be upfront that we don't have any plans for extending the payment file export format to CSV, however direct payments will eliminate the need for a manual export saving you a few steps in this process. 🙂

When this is all we need. 1 line per employee with all relevant data in columns.

😪I need a CSV export for reconciliation to our internal adjustments spreadsheet, being able to match what we have in our spreadsheet to Xero ensures we have a checksum/cross check that detects any errors and ensures we have applied all the adjustments. I currently have to export the Payment Details report and run it through a microsoft excel pivot table to remove all the unnecessary header lines just to get a basic list of payments, NI, ENI, PAYE, pensions and employers pensions and total them up to reconcile back to my spreadsheet. When you have almost 50 employees the Payment Details report that comes out like this, is over 12 pages long, look at all the headings and footers for 1 member of staff. So a CSV wasn't about making bank payments for us, it was about being able to make sure payments were correct in an easy to read format.

The 'gross to net' report is exactly what I need before I 'post' not after I post, I don't want to post and find I have missed some adjustments and have to revert pay, as pensions don't repost either, requiring a manual adjust form to be sent. The fact that Gael Beddoes has to have a python script to automatate monthly csv file is outlandish!
