Hey Everyone! Thanks for the feedback on the New Workpapers experience. Xero Ask is available on the Classic Workpapers but as yet not available in the new Workpapers experience. We've reviewed your idea and moved it to Gaining Support and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it. It is imperative to be able to see that the preparer, first reviewer and final reviewer can all see on each workpaper that the balances have been reviewed with this being summarised on the summary sheet. Each line should have a minimum of 2 tick boxes dedicated to each level of completer ie. preparer and reviewer. It would take a significant amount of time to work out who has approved what. Both the tick boxes on the individual sheets and summary sheet can be ticked by all levels so no control.

The Xero hotlink report should show the bank statement and differences. Not sure we want to add another layer of manual input if already done in Xero Blue.

Hi team, atm we're considering improvements to enable you to navigate between workpapers without needing to go back to the workpaper list.

Hi 👋 thanks for continued feedback on the New Workpapers. This particular idea has been moved to Gaining Support, which will allow others to vote and comment! We will be keeping a close eye on the Ideas coming through and will update here if there are any changes. Again we appreciate each and everyone who has participated and added their feedback.🙂

One concern we have found is that anyone can make a Worksheet N/A - not applicable even if there are figures in there!

Hi team, we appreciate your feedback as you get stuck in to trying our our new Workpapers. Our team have been monitoring feedback closely and I'd like to share that we're in the process of developing a GST Workpaper in our new solution. We'll be back to share once it's released. 😊

Hi Everyone, thank you for the time taken to give us the feedback on this feature. Im happy to say this idea is in development and will be added to the new Xero Workpapers experience in early 2026. Hi team, apologies we jumped the gun a touch on the idea here.
Like previously mentioned, right now you can attach documents and links, set flexible workpaper periods, and use basic calculation sheets in the new experience.
Currently our team are exploring how we might further enhance Workpapers with variations for tailored templates, and support direct importing of reports to improve the way data moves across your compliance steps. We'll share as we have more updates for you around this.
