  1. Is a GST workpaper being developed or would there be one similar to the GST workpaper in exisiting workpapers? We are onboarding staff to old workpapers so having similar or improved workpapers would be useful.

    Hi team, thank you for the continued engagement here. We appreciate there are multiple needs that have been shared through this idea and we wanted to provide an update that our AU GST worksheet is currently being tested by a small group of practices to ensure it will meet the needs of Australian practices.

    I'll be back to share more on this idea as it rolls out wider to practices.

  2. It would be great it we could select a report from Xero Blue and attach it to a workpaper - eg. Aged Receivables Summary Report to Accounts Receivable. Currently you have to export the report and link. It would save time if you could directly link the report (preferably as a static PDF or to the spreadsheet section?

    Hi Everyone, thank you for the time taken to give us the feedback on this feature. Im happy to say this idea is in development and will be added to the new Xero Workpapers experience in early 2026. We will keep everyone updated here as more features are released and you can also see updates and read more about the new experience here ✨🌟💫

  3. The old Workpapers let you drag and drop documents directly into the relevant line, as opposed to the New Workpapers where you always have to click the attachment icon which opens a pop up box where you can then drag and drop or browse files to upload etc.

    Getting this back would be an awesome quality of life fix that would help with being able to efficiently add in docs.

    Hi community, thanks for supporting in the idea here. We appreciate how simple changes like this could have a big impact to your workflow.

    I'm pleased to share this is something we're now working on, and I'll be sure to keep you looped in on it's delivery, here.

  4. Allow each reviewer to approve line items. There are now three people that can be assigned to a workpaper but they all share the same 'status dropdown'.

    We need to be able to see the preparer, reviewer and final review separately.

  5. Allow reviewers to access workpaper attachments for an account and to update the account status directly from the Working Trial Balance view.

    Current Limitation
    Our reviewers prefer working from the Working Trial Balance view. However, under the current functionality, they MUST navigate away from this view and open the Workpapers area to review attachments and mark an account balance as complete. These additional clicks add unnecessary time, and some reviewers find switching between sections disruptive and confusing. For simpler or low‑risk accounts, navigating away solely to mark the balance as reviewed is completely unnecessary.

    Pleased to share an update with you here, Ariane! We appreciate the friction in the workflow you described and our product team have picked up work for enabling review actions within the Working Trial Balance.
