  1. New Workpapers - Division 7A Loans feature

    If the purpose of new work paper is for seamless compliance, should it not have the following feature:

    1. Div. 7A Loans

    All these features are available in the old/classic work paper.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate your feedback and request for a Division 7A worksheet within new Xero Workpapers.

    This is now a worksheet available within Xero Workpapers Plus, helping practices manage and reconcile Division 7A loans and repayments.

    Workpapers Plus is currently in early access for a limited group of Australian practices as we refine the experience with partner feedback. We’ll expand access of our new Plus solution to all AU practices over the coming months, along with the Division 7A worksheet and other advanced capabilities.

    I'll come back to confirm here once Plus is made available across all our AU partner base. 🙂

  2. New Workpapers - GST Reconciliation worksheet (NZ)

    We have the following queries for NZ workpapers:

    Journals posted from within the workpapers don't appear to update when we push refresh just when we put the browser refresh.
    The income tax workpaper is working well now.
    Will you be preparing a GST reconciliation workpaper similar to Classic Workpapers? We currently prepare the proof in Classic Workpapers and upload a copy to beta workpapers.
    Are we correct to understand only one spreadsheet can be uploaded to each workpaper section. Sometimes there are several account balances that require separate proofs so it would be helpful if several spreadsheets could be uploaded.

  3. Workpapers - Order of LY and CY

    In the workpapers, the LY balance is first, and the CY balance is second (going left to right), but when you run any report in Xero, CY is always first, and LY is second. Also, in the workpaper overview, the CY balance is first, and the LY balance is second.

    It should be consistent with CY first and LY second.

    Thanks for sharing here, Adam. I've connected with our product team on this and the ordering of these LY and CY balances is something our product team are aware of and they plan to align with other areas. I'll update here once this is implemented.

  4. Workpapers | Working Trial Balance - Enable Review Actions

    Allow reviewers to access workpaper attachments for an account and to update the account status directly from the Working Trial Balance view.

    Current Limitation
    Our reviewers prefer working from the Working Trial Balance view. However, under the current functionality, they MUST navigate away from this view and open the Workpapers area to review attachments and mark an account balance as complete. These additional clicks add unnecessary time, and some reviewers find switching between sections disruptive and confusing. For simpler or low‑risk accounts, navigating away solely to mark the balance as reviewed is completely unnecessary.
