Hi Emily! We really appreciate your feedback on this. At this moment, the information we pull is directly from the ATO exclusively for one sole return, and so won't automatically fill into the young adult/teenagers return as you've found.
We've reviewed your idea and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it. Make sure you share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too!
We'll keep an eye on any traction this gets in the community and will keep you updated if there are any updates. Thanks.

A lot of people underestimate how mentally draining repetitive admin issues can become, especially when you’re already juggling deadlines and tax season pressure. I’ve seen accountants talk more openly lately about burnout and stress management because those small frustrations stack up over time. One of my cousins working in finance actually started speaking with someone through https://lotuspsychiatryandwellness.com/psychiatrist-in-parkland-fl/ after months of work anxiety and sleep disruption, and he said it helped him recognize how much constant low-level stress was affecting him without realizing it.
I agree with the concern here. Contacts can contain much more sensitive information than just a name and email, especially for businesses dealing with employee pay, medical clients, legal matters, or other confidential records. Giving someone access to accounting functions shouldn’t automatically mean they can see every contact’s financial history.
Being able to mark individual contacts as private, or restrict contacts by user or role, would make Xero much more practical for businesses that need tighter confidentiality controls. The comments from people dealing with salaries and sensitive client information show that this is more than a minor permissions request.
For organizations looking at privacy-focused options around mental health services, tms health (https://lotuspsychiatryandwellness.com/tms-therapy-coconut-creek-fl/) is also an area where protecting sensitive client information is especially relevant.
