    Hiya community, thanks for the feedback we received from our last update. This aided in the teams refinement of this work.

    I'm pleased to share that this has progressed and our product team are well into development to provide the ability for Payroll admins to view an employees available leave balance for the period the employee's requesting.

    We appreciate the importance of this visibility to enable businesses to make more informed decisions when approving leave.

    We're going to start rolling this out very soon, and I'll be back to share when it's fully released along with more details of where and what this looks like.

    This feature should absolutely already exist in Xero. Cloud Payroll has had this for years already and it is a business critical feature! They also have a global calendar that everyone can see when others have planned annual leave so they can see who else will be away at the same time. This is imperative for staff taking extra days off before or after public holidays (e.g. Easter long weekend) so we don't have too many people off at the same time in a single department.
