Hi team, we get how searching across bank accounts would be useful when looking for a specific transaction.
While our product team have reviewed this idea, we don't have any plans for developing this capability in the short term.
That doesn’t mean it’s off the table, and we'll continue to assess the interest from community in this as we keep planning our roadmaps.
If things change we'll gladly share with you all here.
In the meantime, you can use the search in Xero and filter by bank transactions. It’s not a perfect solution, but it can help in some situations.

Enhance Find & Recode to search all transactions across all bank accounts, including both reconciled and unreconciled transactions.
It would be helpful to have a centralized search where users can search transactions across all bank accounts by Contact, Description, Amount, Date, Reference, etc., without having to open each bank account individually. The results should include transactions regardless of whether they are reconciled or unreconciled, and clearly show the related bank account and reconciliation status.
For example, if I search for "Costco" I would like to see all related Costco transactions across all bank accounts in one place, including transactions that have not yet been reconciled. This would make it much easier to locate specific transactions, investigate duplicates, and review transactions without checking each bank account separately. Thank you!
