Thanks for everyone’s continued support in this idea. We’d like to update here that accepting a deposit on an invoice is now live to all organisations that use Stripe in AU, NZ, UK, US, CA and SG with remaining regions soon to come.
We know this doesn’t yet cover fuller progress-payment and instalment workflows, and we recognise those are important for many of you. We’ll keep returning here with more news as work in this space evolves.

Hi team, we appreciate the on-going support and feedback we're receiving on this idea and pleased to be able to share this update. Our product team are actively exploring how we can best solve for the needs raised here, although at this time are unable to provide any set timeframes.
They are very much aware of the appetite from our community on this, and as part of their exploration have reached out some users here as they gather insights.
For the time being we'll shift to In discovery and I'll return as soon as there is more on this to share.

Hi Adam, thanks for sharing this idea. We can see how needing to leave the Quotes screen to update a phone number or address interrupts your momentum.
At the moment, the option is to create a basic contact and then update their details from the Contacts menu afterward. While that works, we understand that being able to enter or edit everything in one place would make the process smoother.
I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and highlight to our product teams how in-screen editing could simplify the quoting workflow.
Just a quick note — we’re only able to track one idea per post. If you have additional suggestions, please raise them as separate ideas so we can accurately monitor the traction and feedback for each one.

Hi community, we understand how being able to send quote reminders like you can for invoices, would help with following up on uncommitted work with your customers and potentially locking in sales.
For the time being, as many will be aware you can resend a quote that’s already been sent, by clicking the 3 dot menu in the top right and choosing ‘Send’, where you’ll have the option to change the email and who it’s being addressed to.
This is something we have intentions of diving into discovery for this year and I’ll return to share more news when things progress. Thanks

Hi everyone, we appreciate interest from you all here in being able to adopt autosave into Quotes. Across the board there are mixed reviews from users that would, and those that would not like to see this enhancement across Xero features.
Right now, the current experience requires you to click Save on the quote before navigating to another screen in Xero.
We appreciate there are other contributing factors to the need here like session timeouts and internet connectivity.
Being upfront this isn't a feature we have roadmapped at this time, however our product teams are aware of the needs and interest of this here and will take this into consideration as they continue to plan the future of Quotes across Xero. If there are any plans to progress this we'll make sure to keep you all informed and updated through this idea. Thanks

Any updates on this feature? like seriously every editor in use today incorporates an Autosave feature, if people don't want it do what everyone does and have an "Autosave On/Off" toggle button, I've spend endless house re-typing quotes because while typing up the the quote and researching parts costs etc its eventually timed out or reloaded and I've lost everything!

From draft Invoices you are able to click on. and view a client and their details you are also able to edit that contact.
This functionality is not available in Quoting currently.
I regularly need to check on a clients address to remind myself of the job or find their phone number to check on details from text messages and find it quite lengthy to have to go leave the quote and look them up in the contacts section.
