Hi Kelly, can you please advise if Xero are going to do a proper delivery note soon? Meaning by the end of August 2025?

We need to include delivery notes with orders, I would to second this idea of being able to create a delivery note as the invoices need to be attached with the delivery note to our customers. please have the look at that

Currently, we are creating our delivery notes from the invoices, which is both time-consuming and costly. If Xero created a comprehensive delivery note template and we Xero's customer can amend it accordingly to their needs.

Creating a delivery note for XERO dev team should be a 10 minute job. What is the real issue? Why is XERO not responding?

At the moment, clients are creating their own delivery notes from the invoices, which is time-consuming and money-wasting. If you made a complete delivery note, this would be better than what is available now.

One other aspect that is stopping a migration from happening is that the converted invoice reflects the amount due whereas the delivery note should not reflect such.

Just let us edit the packing slip template it would solve all the problem

This is kind of a basic step for traceability and preventing disputes about what was delivered vs what not.

It would be incredibly useful if Xero could provide a proper Delivery Note option. It essentially contains the same information as the Picking List just with a different heading, and ideally a signature/date box for proof of delivery.

Surely it wouldn’t be too difficult to offer this as an alternative format or an additional printable option alongside the Picking List. A client of ours, who I believe would be a great fit for Xero, has decided against it purely due to the lack of a straightforward delivery note. I'm sure they're not the only ones. This small addition could make a big difference.

I'm aware of the invoice branding workaround, but that adds an unnecessary step to the whole process and still doesn't quite solve it in a simple straightforward way.

We also require a delivery note, that can be printed straight after the quote has been accepted, before getting to the invoice stage.

It seems a relatively basic requirement, and very frustrating it's not available.

Also within the delivery note, we would like the ability to change the delivery address , if different to the customer address.

We need a one click delivery note. As well as covering multiple invoices (we have multiple divisions supporting the same customer but they bulk up deliveries) we often part ship so need to be able to easily generate a delivery note covering selected lines from the invoice.

I've just had a meeting with a client about moving to Xero and he was incredibly put off by the lack of ability to easily generate a simple delivery note.

Surely the ability to customise the packing slip or simply adding a delivery note option isn't too much to ask.

The link to create a packing slip is still not practical. With technology you have it shouldnt be that difficult once invoiced add a button which then says "delivery note" it should be as easy as the first three steps which xero has got right - bulk doesnt work for everyone. the community have been requesting this for a long time - It is very frustrating, this process would complete the transaction smoother.

How come we still dont have a delivery note tab on the system? a packing slip tab alone is simply not enough, and doing it manually is naking too long, especially with larger orders. Help please. I know we previously used to have a delivery slip tab, what happened to it?

every item we deliver requires a delivery note & a packing slip to completely different items, you need a delivery note to confirm it was delivered not packed!!

THIS IS VITAL TO EVEY BUSINESS

Has the delivery note been developed in Xero?
