Bills - Bulk code lines
It would save so much time if there was an option to bulk code multiple lines on one bill, rather than selecting the account code for each line individually.
Further to Kelly's last update that defaults for accounts, items and contacts could be of use to fill fields and save time when entering bills, for some other workflows it might be faster importing bills from CSV where you can bulk populate account codes for multiple lines on one bill.

Thank you Hannah. We currently use WorkflowMax so all purchase orders are receipted in the WorkflowMax system and this then pushes them through to Xero. Unfortunately this process means that even if a default nominal code is set for the contact, it doesn't apply the setting. We could import via csv but would then have to delete the bills created by WFM so likely to be more time consuming that infilling the nominal codes manually.

When clients email you bills and you 'save to xero' some fields are populated in the draft bill. Eg description, quantity and unit price. Some bills received can have many line items but all relate to the same account or tracking category. Options at the moment to populate the bill is to either delete all the lines and create a new one for a total amount or enter the account and tracking categories in for each line item. It would be great to have a check box for these fields to check and say 'make all lines the same' or something to that effect.

I often receive very detailed bills with over 30 lines from a supplier via the Xero network directly into Bills to pay. Before I can approve, I have to go to each line, type in one code, they are all the same, then press Enter or click which moves me to the right. I then have to click again to move down a line. I cannot see anyway to populate the entire column with one entry. Worse when I press enter or click it does not move me down. Moving right is of no value as the GST rate has already been attached to the code. Have I missed something because having to repeat dozens of times is very frustrating.

Bills from Xero users, sent to me through Xero have empty Account and VAT columns when saved to Xero rather than to PDF. All rows on bill have same account and VAT, I currently have to delete all rows and create a new row with the full invoiced amount. More work than supplier emailing bill directly to Hubdoc not using Xero.
A 'Fill Down' option would save a lot of time (as in Excel).
