Payroll - Recognise and adjust pay rate based on Timesheets
Given that there is already a link between Pay Runs and Timesheets, it would be very helpful if the Pay run could recognise what days have time entered on the timesheet then it would recognise if an employee worked on a Public Holiday and then by default record 1.5 times and add the lieu day to alternative holidays.
This is something that my clients miss regularly as they expect Xero Payroll to do this for them.

Additionally, I find that if the employee does not work the public holiday, as soon as you approve the timesheet, the public holiday defaults to nil hours on the payslip. Why?

Xero should be able to identify what days are penalty rates. Sunday for us is a penalty rate day. If my team put hours into the timesheet for Sunday they should go directly to the correct penalty rate on the pay run.
This is something so basic. It should be set up as part of the initial settings in Xero. All industries are full of penalty rates, and for a software to not be able to process this is primative.
