UK Payroll - Leave Balances Report

Create the report "Leave Balances". This report is available in the AUS version of Xero and is useful when calculating annual leave expense

Thanks everyone for your continued feedback on the need for a Leave Balances Report in UK Payroll. We appreciate you all taking the time to vote, comment, and share how this feature would improve your workflow.

Currently the options for viewing this information is via individual payslips or within each employee’s leave tab.

As part of a wider review into improving UK Payroll reporting, we’re moving the status of this idea to Accepted. We agree a Leave Balances Report is a valuable addition and it’s something we want to address.

While it isn’t on our immediate roadmap right now, it is formally on our radar for consideration as we plan future payroll updates. We will share another update here when we have more news on our plans.

    It would save alot of time working out the leave liability amount manually! It should just be a standard report like the other countries!

    This report exists in my NZ platform, so why can't it be added to the UK platform? This is crucial for payroll functions along with the liability as a £ value

    I think Xero keep misunderstand what we all want. At the beginning of the year we allocate everyone an amount of paid leave e.g. 30 days, then as the year progresses people use it up. I would like the computer (not me with my abacus) to tell me how much leave each person has remaining e.g.

    Dave has 3 days, Sue has 20 days etc. this is basic stuff for planning, untaken leave is a time liability on the business so we want to monitor and report on it. Also good to know how much leave someone has left before approving a leave request. The leave request report is NOT the same as a leave balances report.

    Frustrating to find a report discussed in Xero Central but then discover it isn't available in the UK.

    This is not much of an "opportunity" for those of us located over 200 miles away and a 2 and a half hour timeslot is just not adequate. Purely a tick box exercise for Xero. Poor attempt at support.

    Unacceptable Xero to not have this available. The leave requests report is largely useless in comparison. Already available elsewhere....what is the problem!?! How are payroll admins supposed to support the rest of the management team when they have to manually get this information. Infuriating to say the very least

    As this function already exists in other regions, it's a great frustration to have this missing in the UK version. Needs turning on ASAP.

    All other payroll systems have a function that allows one to see leave liability at the end of the period. This is not the most important function Xero doesn't have, but given this is available in NZ and AU, this shouldn't be a reason why it's not available for the UK users.

    This would be a useful addition to functionality as it makes the calculation of holiday owed/owing when an employee leaves very manual and means that clients find this module pretty much unusable for them

    Although there are relatively few votes on this, I would place a bet that the majority of UK Payroll Admins would find this report a critical part of their leave management.

    This is such an important report for the hospitality clients that I assist with. without this there is no point brining them over to Xero payroll.
