Bills - Automatically go to the next draft bill after approving bills to pay

When looking at Bills to Pay that are in Draft, we review the bill and approve. We then end up on the approved/awaiting payment bill screen. To get back to the next Draft bill to pay, we need to select "Bills to Pay" from the breadcrumb nav, then select back onto the Draft tab and finaly select the next bill.

It would be good to have an option of "Approve" where we can directly go to the next draft bill to manage.

    The process described by CW is very time consuming, the suggestion would be a great improvement and improve efficiency.

    I can't believe Xero haven't fixed this, I searched for the way to go on to the next bill to approve thinking I MUST be missing something obvious, amazed to see all the frustration expressed here and no action?!?!?

    This is driving me mad - at VAT return time we might have hundreds of draft bills to go through, code and approve for clients, and after each one we have to go back to purchases overview rather than straight to the next draft bill - yes it;s only two clicks but for every one it's mammoth - we expect Xero to be slicker, thsi is very basic navigation. Please Xero!!

    I am definitely keen for this to be fixed. It is clunky and doesn't follow basic work flow.

    Bills - Coding/Approved Bills from Draft - in the confirmation page once a draft bill has been approved rather than just having a shortcut to "add another bill" from scratch
    it would be more beneficial to have a link back to the draft bills page tab as we upload most of our bills directly via email therefore you have to navigate back to the main bill page then to draft to pick up another bill to code and approve.
    a shortcut in this confirmation page would shorten this and make life easier.

    YES YES YES. SO ANNOYING AND TIME CONSUMING THAT YOU CANT JUST SELECT YOUR NEXT BILL IN DRAFTS.

    100% the most annoying part of Xero for me - it's enough to push me to another software provider. Make it simple.

    Have been desperate for this functionality!
    I can't believe this hasn't been done yet.
    We're all time poor and this needs to be quick n easy.
    Agree, give the option to make that default

    Approve and next does this, but agreed you should be given the option to make that the default.

    Too much time is being spent moving out of the actual draft invoice to then select another from the Draft List to edit etc. There should be some kind of "Arrow Forward / Back" to move between invoices. Would be far more efficient.
    Particularly, when you don't have the best internet, moving in and out of the actual draft invoice and back to the draft list becomes a very time consuming task.

    I actually can't believe that everyone doesn't want this function.
    I actually require this for when I want to go in and delete/edit the draft invoice and then wish to progress straight on to the next draft invoice.

    Agreed, it should auto go back to the draft bills screen.
    But you can do this yourself by clicking the drop down arrow next to ‘Approve’ and you get the option to ‘Approve and view next’. I do this all the time and it just takes you to the next draft bill.

    I also open an extra browser tab that sits on the draft bills screen. Then I use the other tab for approving the bills. If I want to look at the list of draft bills or another bill I can just swap browser tabs and use the additional tab without losing the screen I was on.

    100% agree. It would make sense to go back to the original tab you were viewing in Bills to Pay to streamline the approvals process.

    We solved this by using the software Approvalmax. It streamlines all your approvals. Now if we could just Xero to allow them access to expenses we would be in perfect shape.

    Having to go back each time is super annoying, a great time saver would be to be able to just go to next bill.

    I'd love the Xero team if you could add this feature. One of my main tasks is to approve bills and it's a right old pain having to click back to 'bills for approval' after approving a bill.

    I agree I raised the same issue myself as the navigation needs to be simplified so we can go from draft bills for awaiting approval to the next bill

    Can Bills to Pay be changed so when you are in a bill and you save it it opens the next bill awaiting to be approved

    Currently you have to click back to Bills to Pay/Approve/and then find the next Bill
