Uncoded Statement lines - option to show reconciled transactions
Our clients would like the option to show reconciled and uncoded options on the same uncoded items report. Moving from MYOB/Banklink they are used to reviewing all transactions and having the ability to add notes for us to then code and add in the accounting software. We have many clients who fill in this form for us to then enter into the software and at present then only way to show this is running a bank reconciliation report.
Appreciate familiarity to the way your clients may have worked with another system.
As noted in the initial idea while there's specifically a report for uncoded statement lines, the Bank Reconciliation report will provide a list of all statement lines (coded and uncoded) - Is there something missing within this report that you're looking for in this?
@Wayne, livestock trading is quite different to what's being asked for in this thread - you can join the idea for this across here.

Bank Reconciliation shows all statement lines, but not where the ones that are already coded have been coded to. This is the main point. Without this, the bank reconciliation report is pretty useless for sending to clients. Add a column showing the code (and blank if uncoded), and you have something comparable to what Banklink had. We have clients really annoyed about this.

"Found" the uncoded statement line report on a Xero webinar last week. The option appears on the bank account screen and in reports. It would be really good for such a useful report for the button to also appear on the individual bank account screens.

I'm loving the uncoded statement reports. What would be useful is a note of a date that the account was last reconciled. Some clients will import a bank statement and month end then reconcile. If the statement isn't loaded it won't highlight that the bank has not been imported. I have a client that has 9 entities so running this report ahead of starting the management accounts and sending to the client is going to be really useful, but at the moment i'll still need to check for entities where bank transactions have not been loaded.

Hi Kelly, there is no ability to add notes to all statement lines in the reconciliation report depending on the bank description as there is not always room. Some of our clients do this even if a bank rule i.e. fuel purchases which wont' show in an uncoded report but they still add notes for litres purchased for fuel tax credit calculations. Also for clients that wish to see all statements lines we have to do the reconciliation reports individually which is time consuming. Other programs have the option of a coded or uncoded check box when running the report which is what we would like to see in Xero. The coding report is what we rely on heavily to get all their information to do the data input as the client fills it out ands sends back to us.

Client satisfaction is paramount and whatever makes their lives easier I am generally for it.
The development of livestock trading accounts integrated into Xero software would also be of great benefit, particularly for regional accounting firms.
