Profit & Loss - Tracking items
Our company uses Tracking categories and used to be able to code the bank rec to a job code and then print an easy profit and loss report based on that job category. The current reports available in Xero are not the same and much more confusing for day to day users. Can you remove the account group and give an accurate p&L report to shwo if the tracking category has made a profit or a loss like myob did. I also get a differing amount if i search the tracking summary report to the account code even though they both contain the same price, so i code to a liability account for a certain job and add the tracking category for that job and both reports give different figures. I dont know why its so strange

When you say remove the account group in the Profit & Loss - you can edit the layout of your report (or is it the way in which the Profit & Loss is structured that you'd like to change here?)
We have another feature called Projects in Xero that I'd also recommend exploring if not already and enables you to track expenses and sales related to a specific job.
