This is soo soo important to me. Pls bring back entering the negative amounts via the app! It is a major inconvenience and makes me want to change to QuickBooks.

appreciate that Michael but doesnt work using my iphone... you have the decimal icon AND the minus symbol on the same button... I only have the decimal.

xero really should sort this out!

There is a way to do this via the app, I accidentally stumbled across it one day and it has taken me a while to figure out how. You would need to make your discount as its own item, when you enter your "price excluding tax" start tying a 0 then move the cursor before the 0 an double press the decimal icon. This will give you a negative icon, then you can enter your desired discount amount

My Client absolutely needs this function, it is imperative to his business!

I’ve managed to work around this by logging into Xero via my phone browser instead of the app, but it’s a hassle that I don’t need!

I have several customers that use the app for invoicing their customers as they are self-employed remote workers invoicing on the go. This has really caused great difficulty for them. The minus figure was available for a long time. Not sure why this function was removed. I get weekly complaints from my customers due to their frustrations. I tried to put a fix in place by creating untracked products with negative values. However, this has caused issues when the need arises to change the values. Xero, please bring this function back.

Yes! I’ve asked twice about this. Surely, for a professional accounting system you should be able to minus a figure from your invoicing / quoting on the app. It’s actually crazy that isn’t an option at the moment. I input this atleast 10 times a month and have to use my laptop everytime… not exactly a chore but this needs to be addressed on the app 100%

Working away from my desk I need to input deductions on my invoices using my phone app but there is no minus on the phone app key pad :(

It’s a pain not being able to use the - on on the app. I need it when deducting CIS on an invoice.

I used to be able to add the - on my invoices to deducts my invoices. This is via the app and now for some reason it’s been removed.

They have said a workaround is going onto the web browser. I use the app as with my business I’m doing quotes/invoices on the go. So not really a workaround for a small business!

I have found a work around of being able to copy the “-“ vale into the box. But Xero listen to your customers or you’ll eventually loose them. Another big company not listening to the little guys

Recently moved a client over from QB and they do everything on their phone, it's a bit embarrassing having to tell them they can't add negative lines for his CIS.

Its useless to have invoice application with out a negative entry lines

Xero is great for Tradies and Tradies want to do everything on their phone so not being able to deduct Withholding tax is a real downside to Xero.
It would be great to have this ability on the Mobile App so please can it be added.
