Repeat Invoice - Ability to discount by amount
When you create repeat invoices it only allows discount in % but when you create a manual invoice you can have discount in % or £. This should allow both for repeat invoices as well.

Really frustrating that the first invoice you send will be correct, because you can set the discount to an amount, but when you repeat the invoice it has to change to a percentage, so subsequent invoices will be different to the original because of rounding. I can't overcharge the client so we have to miss out on the pennies difference, which over hundreds of invoices, repeated monthly, adds up to wasted money, and as said below looks unprofessional.

Why can't we have this functionality? We can discount by amount on a standard invoice, why not on a repeating invoice? If the number is not equally divisible you will rarely get a % discount exactly where you need it.
I need to discount $240 off of an $1800 monthly repeating invoice. My choices are 13.33% ($239.94) or 13.34% ($240.12). Neither is correct and any "workaround" will not hit the books correctly and/or look very amateur to the client.

Yet another limitation of repeating invoices. Very frustrating

so strange that it's avialable on one and not the other...makes it seem like just a weird little coding thing that they can't bother to fix?

Yes, we are having this issue as well. The % amount does not always convert to the same $ amount. When our client signs a contract stating they will pay $295 - $45 savings = $250.00 quarterly for a service which includes a discount then the % conversion shows $250.01 on the repeat invoice. No way to fix it up or down and cannot edit the end result so client gets invoiced either $250.01 or $249.48. Not what the end result should be. Plus, this amount is one of 4 other line items on the invoice resulting in even more error in invoice total.

I agree, when I create a repeating invoice with a % discount, the discount has rounding issues, and looks really unprofessional with an invoice being submitted repeatedly for $769.98 rather than $770.00!

I am testing the software hoping to purchase, and we need this feature.
Its really odd this feature is missing...
You can add a percent or fix amount discount on an invoice, but its only possible to add percent discount on a reoccurring invoice. I wonder where that business rule came from. There is a work around. I can add a percent that equals the fixed amount discount we want to add. So its not a deal breaker.
