Profit and Loss - Option to show opening and closing stock
Ability to show opening stock & closing stock closing amounts in the P&L on a monthly, quarterly etc basis.
A function to allow to pick a Balance Sheet code or P&L code for stock and specify what balance to report in the P&L or trading account. ie. when running May 2023 monthly reports, the ability to specify that the opening stock is the stock on hand balance at 30 April 2023 and the closing stock is the stock on hand balance at 31 May 2023.

Hi, Good morning to the person in charges.
We urgently need to prepare the P&L for the opening and closing stock balances in our financial statement of accounts.
Please help us solve the issue of automatically generating the opening and closing stock balances in P&L instead of exporting it to Excel.

I really need this! We are currently chopping and changing the P&L which defeats the object of being able to print reports out of Xero, it looks like we are going to have to go back to preparing in Excel! The main issue we have is the YTD on the P&L adds up the movement.
