AU Payroll - Choose when Employees have access to payslips in XeroMe
From the moment you post a payrun, and this can be 1 day or 10 days before payment is made, employees have access to their payslips. To pull an ABA from the payrun, you need to post the payrun first. I process payroll for over 30 business's. Part of that process, as I am sure it is for any agent or employee bookkeeper, you generally need to get an approval (even the filing for STP makes you verify that an authorised person has checked it). This approval is an email to the client with the payroll information (including ABA file) so that if all is ok, they can make payment (and flick me an email when they have time - which can be days after payment is made) and we don't have to wait for their approval then resend with the ABA attached, which makes it a time consuming task for our clients who are super busy running their business. Under Australian Fairwork requirements, they only need access to within one day of their payment date, so why can it not be linked to that? The payment date needs to be the trigger for the access, not posting of the payrun.

Employers are required to give employees their payslips within one working day of the payment. Employees getting their payslips earlier than this is technically in violation of this requirement (although I doubt anyone would care enough to prosecute it).
Maybe link access by employees to STP lodgement?
