Receipts - Generate receipts without creating invoice
There should be a generate receipt option without having to create invoice first. This receipt should continue running numbers as invoiced.

I agree totally. I'm the treasurer for a community association. Many payments from members are made by bank transfer, so no invoice is sent to them. I know I have generated customised receipts in the past, but I can't find how to do it after the last update.
Any hints?

Agree there should be a receipting option with continuous receipt numbers currently I am having to do manual receipts which just doesn't make sense.

Is Xero working on this feature? This is very important for one of my clients who often deposits batches of checks without associated invoices.

We absolutely need a Batch Deposit for 'Receive Money' transactions. We only go to the bank to make deposits 2-3x/wk, yet we want to track daily cash and check receipts.
I cannot figure out how to attach 3 days of income to 1 deposit line in the bank feed. -

Need the ability to create batch deposits from multiple customers without having to create individual invoices for each receipt. Currently, the batch deposit only works if customer invoices exist, and the receive money function only allows receipts to be recorded from one customer. When receiving funds from multiple sources that do not have associated invoices, it is time-consuming and inefficient to have to create invoices just to be able to process a batch deposit. As funds are deposited to the bank in a batch (for example, via EFT), we need the ability to post a batch deposit to easily reconcile the bank account and not have to manually select each individual receipt that makes up the batch deposit, and need to be able to do this without generating invoices.
