Depreciation schedule - Identify assets that have had investment boost applied
It would be great if there could be an investment boost report that could be printed out to help isolate what assets have had this boost applied so the new IR10 requirement can be easily reported on. Or even if that column could be added to the existing Fixed Asset report to add in.
IR10 requirement - Businesses must now record the total value of assets they have claimed Investment Boost for in Box 60 ‘Total value of Investment Boost asset(s) being claimed’.
79 votesHi team, we appreciate the interest surrounding this idea and how having the ability to identify assets that investment boost has been applied to would be useful from the Depreciation schedule.
Right now, IR10 in NZ tax will import Investment Boost directly from Fixed Assets if there is an organisation.
Being upfront, adding this to reports within an organisation isn't currently on our roadmap, but we understand how this would be useful in this reporting and will continue to consider this in future product planning. I'll share if there are any updates for you here.

Claude - ability to connect Claude to multiple organisations
The functionality of the Claude connector is poor, can this be improved to access multiple Xero businesses and permit data requests at a more granular level?
27 votesHi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea and adding your feedback.
We understand why being able to connect Claude across multiple Xero organisations could be helpful, particularly for advisors and bookkeepers who work across several clients or entities. The idea is to allow a single Claude connection to access multiple organisations, removing the need to reconnect or switch between organisations when working across different datasets.
We've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support. If this would be useful for your workflow, please add your vote and share more about how you'd use it.

GST Reconciliation report - Cash v accrual option directly in report
Hi,
Most softwares have included on the GST reconciliation report page a toggle button to switch between cash vs accrual reporting on the GST reconciliation report page which makes it a lot easier for accountants to run the reports on either a cash or accruals basis.
It is very time consuming having to switch it in the financial settings each and everytime and also means that if it does not get switched back to applicable setting if the client lodges a BAS they may inadvertently lodge on the incorrect basis, meaning more time for accounts to identify and correct.
Thanks

Fix BAS Amendment Rejections Caused by CMN.ATO.AS.EM058 Validation Error
Hi Xero,
Please resolve or better handle the CMN.ATO.AS.EM058 validation error when lodging BAS amendments through Xero Tax.
We are encountering situations where a BAS amendment is rejected with a PAYG-W related validation error despite:
-No PAYG-W labels being completed in the BAS
-No PAYG withholding amounts being reportedXero Support has advised that this is caused by an ATO validation check incorrectly triggering for PAYG withholding obligations and that the current workaround is to either:
- Skip pre-lodgement and lodge directly to the ATO, or
- Lodge the BAS amendment through the ATO Portal instead of Xero Tax.
Please fix the…

Remove lines from financial statements
We have been given a set of financial statements for sole traders and farmers but within the reports, the P&L and Balance sheet are showing the lines under each transaction. We would like the ability to remove these lines as it gives a more professional look.

Reporting (UK): Include tax dates as reporting date option
When running reports, for the date range within the drop down, have 'last tax year' and 'this tax year' as options. Similar to the this and last financial year.
Makes running reports for dividends, trivial benefits, payroll etc, much faster and better flow of information for accountants and clients.
Should be a simple task for xero and will have a positive impact on all users.
24 votesThanks for sharing your idea on reports to support tax-year reporting periods, not just financial-year as per the organisations financial settings.
We've reviewed your idea and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it. Make sure you share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too!

Manual Journals - Journal entry number listed
On the list of manual journals, the journal entry number should be listed, you need to click on each one to find the specific journal entry number. Why is this not displayed?
34 votesThanks for your feedback on displaying journal entry numbers in the manual journals list. We appreciate you highlighting how this could improve your workflow.

AU Tax - Separate the permission to 'Pre-Lodge' tax returns
Please segment out the user permission for the ability to pre-lodge in tax returns to a separate, granular security option, so that we can nominate specifically by user who is able to pre-lodge to the ATO, given this transmits data to the ATO (and we would like to restrict this so it is completed only by certain users and at certain stages of the preparation process rather than 'too early' when the return is still very much subject to review and change).
17 votesHi everyone, thanks for helping us understand your workflow needs.
We can see how having a separate permission for pre-lodgement could help practices manage access more effectively and better align with their internal review and approval processes before information is sent to the ATO.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue gathering feedback and better understand how more granular permission settings in Xero Tax could support different practice workflows.
Please keep sharing your votes and examples of how this could work for your team.

Report Templates - Add Tracking summary report
add more reports into report template, for example payroll report and tracking summary. Thank you.
106 votesHi team we appreciate the feedback and interest in adding the Tracking Summary report to Report Templates here. Being upfront this isn't something we have plans for.
However, we've made a recent update to enable you to adding a custom Tracking Summary report to Adviser packs which may meet some of the needs here.
I see there's also been mentions in this thread of users that'd like to add payroll report to report templates and I wanted to highlight this idea that I'd recommend adding your vote for if of interest. Thanks!

NZ Tax - IR10 Form - Update Box 60 label to 'Total value of Investment Boost asset(s) being claimed' to match Inland Revenue guidelines
Currently the IR10, Box 60 says 'Investment Boost Claimed', but this is misleading as the amount that needs to be entered is the value of the assets which are having Investment Boost claimed.
The IRD's IR10 Guide calls Box 60 'Total value of Investment Boost asset(s) being claimed'.
Please change the name of Box 60 to match the IR10 guide. This will make it easier for users to enter the correct amount.
15 votesHi everyone, thanks for raising this.
We can see how clearer wording in Box 60 of the IR10 could help reduce confusion during year-end filing and support more accurate reporting of Investment Boost assets.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support, so if this is an update you'd like to see, we encourage the community to vote.

NZ GST - Automatically generate draft bills or invoices when filed
After filing a tax return why not automatically add it to the bills to pay section of the dashboard as you already have all of the information??
15 votesHi everyone, appreciate the detail you’ve all shared around this. We understand you’re looking for GST lodgements to automatically create the related bills or invoices in Xero, so your tax obligations are reflected in your accounts without manual steps.
Having this connection between GST filings and transactions could help make reconciliation and tax workflows more seamless.
We’ll continue to track feedback and interest from the community for this idea for our Product team's assessment.

Xero Analytics - Add widget to track actuals vs budgets
When we're looking at Xero analytics page, we would like to be able to clearly track our income against our budget.
We also we would like to be able to track our net profit against a KPI line.43 votesHi team, with Xero Analytics you can use the Business Health Scorecards to track your net profit against a KPI line.
You can choose a pre-built KPI, or create your own, and assign a target to track against that KPI.
If you'd like you can also, display this as a widget on your Analytics dashboards, to visually compare your KPI to the target line.
We appreciate those that have voted here are also looking for the ability to rack actual v budget and will continue to track the interest here and share further updates. Thanks

Manual Journals - Option to change column layout, put totals of columns underneath the Debit and Credit columns
The new menu format does not make logical sense. You now have to scroll to see any details and in long journal postings scroll down the page due to unnecessary spacing and you cant resize the columns? In addition, why are the totals for the debit and credit columns not underneath the columns?
Logically, it would make sense to have the description first, followed by account, debit, credit to enable easy review. The new layout appears to be more confusing than anything else. If we can re arrange the rows, can we also re arrange the columns?
The previous format…
7 votesThanks so much for taking the time to share this feedback on the new Manual Journals experience. We appreciate you explaining what would work better for you, including the suggestion to either restore the previous order or allow columns to be rearranged.
We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue to track interest and hear from others who feel the same way. Votes and comments on the idea are really helpful for our team as we assess customer impact and prioritise improvements.

Report feature request
Create a report that includes Sign Status. However, when I try to set it up, the only option available in the dropdown is Client Status.
I would like Sign Status to be added as a selectable field in the report filters to make the report more useful and easier to manage.

Reports - Report showing a list of suppliers and average supplier payment days
Xero already calculates the average number of days a business takes to pay each supplier (you can see it on individual contact records under "Bills"). But there's no way to pull this into a single report across all suppliers.
This matters because the UK Government's Fair Payment Code (which replaced the Prompt Payment Code in December 2024) requires businesses to provide evidence of their payment performance from their accounting software when applying for an award.
The Code has three tiers: Gold (95% of invoices paid within 30 days), Silver (95% within 60 days, with 95% to small businesses within 30…
11 votesHi everyone, we'd like to share (as some may have seen news of) we're working on reports that'll help provide businesses visibility of their payment performance. As a starter to address needs in this idea we're focusing on a 'Supplier days to pay detail' report that'll show historical payment behaviour across Suppliers. This'll be an exportable report can be used as evidence for UK businesses compliance with the UK Fair Payment Code.
We want to say a special thanks to Libby for all your engagement with our product team, and to all our UK Partners that helped test with us during our recent XeroCon in London.
I'll be back to share once this report goes live!

Quotes - Ability to send delivery note upon quote acceptance
A way of converting quotes accepted into order acknowledgements and / or delivery notes before creating the Invoice would be helpful. I use a work around with templates, but it shows prices which you don't really need or want on delivery notes and the attachment PDF is still labelled as a quote.
15 votesHi Rob thanks for sharing this here. We can see how having an order acknowledgment or delivery note upon quote acceptance could be useful to have. We will open this idea up to get more support from the community. Just to add on to your last two points, you can edit the way the PDF attachment shows. You can also create DOCX templates, so that the price does not show. If you require further support with this, please do not hesitate to raise a case with our support team.

Manual journals - wrap titles in search menu
The new menu format makes it necessary to scroll across to see ANY details for journals with long titles, instead of being able to see everything at a glance. Either wrap the titles by default or give us a toggle option to do so.
5 votesThanks so much for sharing this idea. We can see how being able to view long manual journal titles more easily would be helpful, especially when you're quickly scanning your journals.
We've moved your idea to Gaining Support so other customers can vote and add their feedback too. If anyone else would find wrapped titles, or a toggle to control this, helpful in Manual Journals, please add your support and share how it affects your workflow — those details are really useful for our team.
We really appreciate you taking the time to raise this with us and help improve Xero.

MTD for ITSA - Submission Confirmation
I note that HMRC does not offer a submission receipt for MTD for ITSA. Could Xero generate a PDF stating that the return has been filed, as other than taking a screenshot we have nothing we are able to send to the client confirming the return is submitted
4 votesThanks for sharing and supporting this idea.
We can see how a formal submission confirmation for MTD for Income Tax would be helpful, especially when you need something more suitable than a screenshot to share with clients as proof a submission has been made.
We’ve moved your idea to Gaining support so other community members can vote and add detail on how they’d use this. That feedback helps our product team better understand the demand and the impact this would have in practice.
If there’s anything specific you’d want included on a confirmation document — for example the filing date, business or taxpayer name, period covered, and submission status — feel free to add that in a comment, as it gives the team more context to review.
We’ll keep you updated here if there’s any change.

Reporting - Ability to change the presentation or base currency at a report level
Ability to run detailed transaction and other reports translated to another currency.
When you are running a multinational business, the ability to convert all data back to 1 currency for reporting is invaluable. Though the entity may trade in one currency, being able to report in another is also important.
Also, looking at the detailed transactions for analytics is important but difficult when it's in a foreign currency. Having a multicurrency TB for export/import and reconciliations would also be handy.
11 votesHi team, we appreciate all the engagement so far. We understand that when you’re working with multiple currencies, being able to view and present reports in a different currency can make it easier to communicate results.
At the moment, report currency is tied to your organisation’s base currency, which means you can’t switch the presentation currency directly within a report.
For now, these reports and spreadsheet exports can help bridge the gap when you need converted views for reporting. We’re continuing to track interest here and share it with the team.
We’ve moved this to Gaining Support so others can add their use cases and help us better understand how this feature could add values.
