Yes I agree, this is a much needed feature and would save so much admin time

Would save so much time as I forward so many bills via email and I then have to go through them all 1 by 1 to just set the account. The default accounts should be set or give me a bulk option to review and edit accounts on Draft bills. Adding that column to the list would be easy and then it would allow me to Approve All - saving me hours of manual and repetitive labour

Using Inventory Items and invoicing between companies in a group which have identical Item numbers, can the item numbers be brought in / read at the receiving end?
Currently the bill is entered without the items and does not have any affect on the inventory. All the lines on the bills need to be re entered when the item is populated in the bill.

It would be helpful if the 'Account' field on draft bills was prepopulated, either from the the last bill for that contact, or from the 'Purchase Account' in the contact default set up. Using the 'add last items' option also populates the description which usually needs to be edited.

I automatically generate draft bills from emails and the Payee is automatically selected. I want to setup rules (or even better re-use the reconciliation rules) to set the description, account and tax rates for each of the imported bills that are in draft.

I receive bills into xero from some suppliers. The suppliers don't know how to represent the bill for our use so it would be good if we could create a rule to apply to a bill so it can be coded correctly. This is most obvious when receiving invoices from a company that we have an account with. They might code the item as 1 item at $xx, whereas we want to code it as yy items @ $dd and I want to associate an item with the expense. I see this all the time with my Ampol fuel account. The time taken to step through and change each line item on the invoice when in Xero is significant. I feel applying a rule would make it much easier and productive. As it stands the integration with the Ampol service does not provide significant benefits. I feel it should be a Xero task and not a supplier coding issue (they don't know about items in our xero systems, etc). A solution would add considerable value and save time.
The attached images shows the idea. The rules could work the same as the Bank Rules by matching on text strings.
