Xero me receipts added to Invoices
I use Xero Me to upload expense receipts and assign to a client. I rename the photo of the receipt so that it should be traceable. The expenses are then visible when I create an invoice for that client. All good so far, however, there are two things that could be improved:
There is no option to add the receipt file to the invoice when the expenses are added. Very often clients want to see the original invoice when expenses are charged back at cost.
The expense files are saved in the fie library, however, the names I have given the files are no longer there - Xero changes the name to either 'receipt.jpeg' or 'file.jpeg'. As they all have the same name, it is impossible to know which receipt is which. Especially if there are a lot in one day and for different clients, it is impossible to know which receipt is which. Especially if there are a lot in one day and for different clients. You can open and see what the files are, but can't see from the file name.
This seems like a massive miss on Xero's behalf. Is it something that will can be addressed?

We need the ability to RENAME A RECEIPT DIRECTLY IN MY XERO APP. Our team members are traveling extensively and are uploading receipts while traveling using the My Xero app. The problem is they cannot change the file name. All the receipts are uploaded to the Xero file library automatically which is great, but they all show the same file name of "receipt.jpg". When our accounting team members are looking at over 100 receipts at any given time to attach to a customer invoice for travel expense reimbursement, then they cannot quickly tell which receipts in the Xero library list go with the customer's invoice. It is a nightmare! We currently either have to 1) download the receipt from Xero, rename it so it's identifiable, then re-upload it to Xero; or, 2) our consultants have to save their receipts until returning to office hoping they don't lose them to scan from printer to computer preferably in a pdf format. This is so cumbersome for our entire team. Please help fix this to improve our business workflow! In addition, ultimately saving the file to a pdf is preferred over jpg since pdf is more universally accepted as well as a smaller file size.

Fully agree, that expense receipts should be able to flow through automatically when customer invoices are created.
PS: should change the name of this feature request to what you want to happen eg 'Xero me receipts added to Invoices' rather than 'Xero me files'
