Monthly comparative reporting
Would it be possible to amend Xero settings, so that if you run a balance sheet to the end of February, the comparatives are also run to the end of previous month?
In February, my current month balance sheet is run to 28 February (Xero's choice) and Xero decides that means I also want to see the comparatives run to 28 January as a default setting.
As many month-end journals are posted to, say, 31 January, the balance doesn't include them.
This is very misleading: in any other month, the comparatives are run to the end of the month.
It's not a helpful comparative and happens sufficiently infrequently that users are not looking out for it.

I totally understand your frustration! It can definitely be misleading when the comparatives don’t align properly, especially with month-end journals posted at the end of the previous month. It seems like it would be helpful if Xero could allow more flexibility in how the comparatives are displayed, depending on the reporting period.
Have you tried reaching out to Xero support to see if there’s a workaround or if they might consider this feature in a future update? It’s definitely something that could improve accuracy for users who are working with journals posted late in the previous month.
By the way, on a different note, I’ve been exploring packaging solutions for various industries and found that Kraft boxes are a great, eco-friendly option for many products. If anyone’s interested, you can check out some of the options available https://packagingtoronto.ca/kraft-boxes/.
It would be great if they could add an option to adjust the comparative period automatically to match the month-end balance sheet settings.
