Clients - Ability to set an email for a specific purpose
It would be useful to have settings to setup multiple emails on a clients record for different purposes. This would improve accuracy in communications and sending of documentation when managing clients.
We're interested to understand the interest in being able to add multiple emails to a clients record, for the purposes of setting these up for different purposes.
It would be great to hear more detailed feedback from our partners on the particular purposes you'd want to set up emails for and how this would help you through Xero's practice tools. Thanks!

Nominate contacts to automatically populate for quotes or invoices. For many of our clients, quotes go to one email i.e. estimating@client and invoices go to another email i.e. invoices@client. Being able to nominate emails in the contact list for each client to automatically populate when sending quotes or invoices for that specific client would save having to manually type the same email address every time.

We use document packs for some of our clients and need to make sure that the email address used is the one they use to login to Xero with, otherwise the client cannot access. What I mean by that is, the client has an email address they use to login to Xero, but it is different to the email address they use on a daily basis. To get around the issue, we have had to create a custom field in XPM so we can record the email address that needs to be used for esigning and document pack purposes.

Reason we are still on APS, so we can send out tax letters to a specific email address and a specific email address for billing.

Agree with comments below, particularly for sending tax letters.
eg. We may have a group of clients who all have their own email addresses, but all of their tax letters should go to one particular address.

I'd love to see an enhancement that allows assigning multiple email addresses to a single contact, each designated for a specific purpose. For example:
• Email address for sending invoices
• Email address for annual returns
• Email address for tax letters
In some cases, it would be useful to be able to include more than one email address per category (e.g.msending invoices to both the client and their bookkeeper).
This would make communication more targeted and reduce the need for manual email forwarding or workarounds. -

As a Xero implementation partner, the following recommendations are for client email fields that practices have asked me about time and time again and that we have to develop other workarounds for (important to note that these are independent to individual contact details handled by the contacts feature).
1. Primary Client Email - single email
2. Tax Letters/Payments - multiple emails
2. Billing/Invoices Email - multiple emails (even better if can integrate with Xero primary and secondary billing contacts to be emailed)
