  1. The Classic version of Invoicing used to inform you on the view of an invoice that was created from a Repeating Invoice when the Repeating Template had been deleted.
    The new version does not give you this information resulting in confusion and wasted time.
    Please see screen shots below.
    This is causing us a major headache as we have lots of Repeating Invoices that have to be cancelled and if a user isn't sure new invoicing doesn't help but allows you to go through the process of trying to delete the template again which results in an error.

    Hi Chris, we appreciate you raising this message with us. It's something our team have added to their backlog but want to be open that we don't have active plans for changing for the time being. We'll continue to monitor the feedback here and I'll share if there is any progress.

  2. Projects - Ability to copy time entries using web platform

    Currently you can copy a time entry using the Projects app but this function does not seem to be availible using the web based software. This could be added to the hamburger menu where at present the only options are edit or delete.

  3. Find and Recode - Contact Groups: I have a need for recoding transactions to add or correct tracking categories based on contact groups. We need to provide summary and filtered reporting based on tracking categories which we cannot efficiently find without the contact group. Please add contact groups to find and recode.

  4. Please change the Type of the Invoice Reference field on New Invoicing to Allow for extended text formatting capabilities. Make it the same data type as the Summary Field on Quotes or the Description Field on Invoice Line items. So that the invoice reference field allows and saves Carriage Returns and Tab characters.

  7. Please create an option on the customer invoice setup to lock invoice numbers so that the user is unable to change or edit the system generated invoice numbers. In South Africa it is important for SARS and audit purposes that invoices are sequential and certain users should not have the ability to change or edit that field. But please give us the option to select when a user is able to edit or change that field.

  8. I want more decimal places on the Line Amount and Invoice Total to display as follow:
    1.7568 x 25.12 = 44.1309

    I can get it to show 44.1300 but I want to set it up to show 44.1309

  10. Xero made a change when adding bills at some point last year.

    Before, when you clicked to add a new bill, it would automatically open in a new tab, really handy when adding multiple bills to a specific supplier.

    Now, you have to right click on add a new bill to open a new tab otherwise you have to keep going back to contacts to re-find the supplier in order to add another bill.

    Not sure why this needed to change as it was far more user friendly and was quicker to add bills before.

  12. The preview window that pops up when entering new bills is a bit small and you need to almost always zoom in on the pdf to read it.

    It would be great to be able to resize the different page components to make things a bit more readible.

  13. It would be good to be able to set a mark up margin for loaded products and services. This way when our cost goes up we could just alter the cost price and it would automatically adjust the sale price rather than us having to work it out for every item and load it manually.

  14. It would be great if we could run a report for payments actually made in an exact date range, therefore not payments that have been reconciled and marked as paid on a certain date but the payments that were actually paid in the bank during a period.
    Currently there is no actual report that can be run and it seems so simple. Like a bank statement but with all of the details from the 'Bills to Pay' invoice section ie. Invoice no; paid date; description and amount.

    Appreciate not exactly the way you're wanting to view this information, but in lieu of a report for this atm perhaps the History & notes could be a way for you to view this information. 

    You can add a filter for the type of transactions (like payments) that you'd like to view and the date noted in history will be the date the action was made in Xero.

The ‘fresh new look’ you have decided to give invoice emails is garish and on the verge of being offensive/pushy - WE ARE NOT A FAN! - and we have been told that this cannot be adjusted!!!!!!!!!!! - REALLY!!!!!!???? - not impressed!!!!! - give the option to amend this or put it back to as it was, please!!!

    Sorry to hear the changes are not to your liking, Oliver. While we won't be changing back I can definitely share any specifics that you'd like to see changed. Can you give me any more detail on what it is about the new look that you don't like? 

  16. When you've uploaded multiple receipts/invoices to a transaction it would be useful to have a "next" button to go through all the uploads rather than having to X out and click individually into each attachment. For example expenses. This will save time reviewing

    Hi everyone, appreciate there are more regions users would like to see us adopt solutions for and we'll keep you in the know of any progress, here.

    In the UK, we have some updates with the bill payments method with Crezco. You now have more control of your cashflows with the ability to schedule bills to be paid at a future date using direct bank transfer. This'll help avoid potential bank charges for same day transactions, and missing due dates. Along with this you'll also be able to stay up to date with your payments with real-time payment status in Xero. Meaning you don't have to log into your bank to check the status of each bill payment. With an overview of all payments made using direct bank transfer, you have an accurate record of which suppliers have been paid, and when.

  18. If im in a project and i start the timer i still have to tell it which project im timing (find or choose a project) Seems logical for it to automatically populate the field with the project im currently in...

    We would like to request that the feature or the option to charge interest on customers for overdue accounts be developed as most other accounting packages has this feature and it becomes time consuming when this has to be calculated and brought in as additional invoices when there are numerous accounts that this needs to be done on.

  20. Whilst creating or editing "normal" bills, archived Products and Services don't appear in the Item pick lists to choose from. However, when creating or editing Repeating Bills ALL the Products and Services appear in the Item pick lists, irrespective of whether they're active or archived.

    With many Products and Services archived (we have to renew them all annually), this makes the resetting of our Repeating Bills very labourious and makes the chances of making errors many times greater, as we can accidently choose archived Products and Services.

    This looks to be a bug in the system that needs rectifying quickly.
