Invoice Reminders - Trigger when importing from third party apps
Invoice reminders do not work when generating invoices in a third party app that pushes the invoices across to Xero.
This is unhelpful when the integration is otherwise seamless.

Inventory: Lock items from being affected by customer discount
Some of our customers have set discounts, however, some of our inventory items have very little to no margin and we would like to be able to block that inventory item from being discounted. Also, freight gets discounted on customers that have discounts saved to their account?

Contacts - Short-term notes field
Apart from utilising the Notes function in client profiles, may I suggest a field be added for short term notes (not needed to be archived) to highlight an alert/instruction/warning for all staff when working on a particular client. As an example: do not lodge Tax returns for ABC until Paid.

Bills - Payment files automatically sent to Westpac
To import a payment file into the bank the user must download an ABA or CSV file from Xero and save to their local drive. This file is then manually imported into the bank - this poses a major data security risk. Xero already supports bank feeds with many large banks so there should be an option to import these payment files directly from Xero into the bank.

Invoices: Show ItemName or ItemCode in online invoic
The online invoice sent to customer (not the PDF) and invoice in Xero only show the Item description and not the Item name or Code, this is not right as it means if we add personal details to the item on the invoice it isn't possible to tell what the item is without doubling up the Name in the Item description

Invoice - Discounts more than 2 d.p
This column is useful but could be improved.
As already noted in another existing idea, it would be good if there was a way to indicate whether the discount is per-item or for the line. As it stands, if there is a count, then to emulate a dollar discount on each item, we have to manually calculate the total discount for the line (number * $ discount) to enter the appropriate line value.
The percentage discount option is good also (as it avoids the above problem with specifying an absolute amount). However, it has a different problem in that the…

Invoicing | Contact Group - Add attachments when sending invoices
Provide functionality in Xero to add attachments to a group invoice.
Annually when we issue membership
subscriptions there are a number of attachments that need to be included with the invoice, this is currently a manual process. Adding the sane attachments to over 80 invoices is time consuming and tedious.Given Xero has this functionality already, it should be expanded to include the functionality of adding attachments when creating an invoice o a contact group.
8 votesAppreciate your feedback here, everyone. While we've recently released contact group invoicing with new invoicing, the ability to attach and send an attachment has not changed for the time being.
Contact Group invoicing will only create draft invoices for the contacts within that group, so you'll need to attach any documents to the individual invoices that are created and select to include these with the invoice when sending.
We'll continue to review this idea as a future enhancement, and I'll let you know if there are any changes planned, here.

E-Invoicing - Setting the e-invoicing toggle button as default.
Could you please look at making the e-invoicing toggle button as default.
This will allow the invoices raised in Xero Practice Manager to be sent to Xero and then sent in Bulk (email multiple clients from awaiting payment) rather than selecting it manually. This will save a lot of time and also allow the other side to receive the invoice in their system.
Currently what it is doing is getting us to go into the invoice and then manually toggle this for clients we know are setup for e-invoicing. If this is handle automatically it will achieve its true purpose.…

Bills to pay: Multiple payment dates in one payment batch
Could you please add the option to pay have different payment dates for bills in a batch payment. Perhaps you can select to choose 'one payment date' or the 'planned payment date' when creating the batch. This way we can bundle multiple payments into one batch and don't need to set up multiple batches for multiple payments dates.

New Quote - Create blank lines in Quote
Since the new quote format was launched, we are no longer to insert a blank line in our quotes at the beginning of a new item. Previously, this allowed us to space out the quote a little so it didn
t look too jumbled and allowed us to space the quote neatly over two pages instead of just having a line of a quote on the second page if it didn
t all quite fit on the first. Please put it back to how it was and allow us to insert blank lines at the beggining of an item.24 votesHi all, upon revisiting here we'll re-open this idea.
As you may have found - While possible to add a new line and drag & drop this to where you'd like it to sit in a quote. Once saved, blank lines that have no data in any field will disappear and lines with detail will condense.
Apologies for the earlier misunderstanding and we appreciate those who've feedback on the idea here too.
There aren't any direct plans for changing this behaviour for now. We have a keen eye on the interest here so please add your support through votes and importance.
For the time being, if you'd like to add a blank line in your quote you'll need to enter a character in the description field of the line - This could just be a hyphen or full stop

Projects - User Options and Permissions
In projects it would be most useful we there were more user permission options. A check box of permissions you could give all staff
1- only have staff see the projects they are assigned to - To give staff privacy on work hours and expenses.
2- give all staff regardless of their permission access to expenses
3- give or withhold what financial information they can and can not see
4- give or limit the options for invoices/quotesBlanket permissions don't work.
