  1. Currently, each separate line in a sales credit note has to be separately assigned to a Project. There should be tickyboxes so that the lines can be assigned en masse, as there is for bills.

  2. We require a bridging letter to the SOC Type 2 report to cover the period 1 November 2023 to 30 June 2024 for audit purposes. When querying Support I was referred back to the generic link to download the above report. How do I obtain a bridging letter for the remaining period?

  3. Please change the location of the pop up message "default contacts have been applied". When creating a new invoice, the pop up message appears in the bottom left, but I'm trying to look at my contact info and enter data. The pop up box lingers too long and covers the information I need to enter, interfering with the data entry! This is frustrating every time when creating multiple invoices and I have to "x" the pop up message away each time, which then causes extra steps and takes longer.   5. Account Transactions Report

    It doesn't make sense that you can separately select the 'Contact' column and the 'Description' column, but that the 'Contact' details show in the 'Description' column.

    It feels like the 'Description' column in the Account Transactions report is wrongly pointing to the 'Contact' data!

    If the 'Description' detail is not available in the Account Transactions report, this column should be withdrawn from the options available for selection.

    It would be great to get this issue fixed.

    Thank you for your engagement on this idea. To help explain a little on how this works in the Account Transactions(AT) report - what shows in the Description field when running the report is dependent on the type of account you're running the report for.

    For example, when running the AT report for a bank account, transactions will show the Contact name in the Description field. This is because the detail that is entered on each description line in the body of a transaction relates to the account the line item is coded to. 

    To see the detail, you'll need to run the report for the account code, not the bank account. This is also how the report works for some other accounts such as the system sales tax account, Account Receivable, and Accounts Payable.

  9. Adding tracking categories to VAT return/reports:

    I would like to run a VAT return/report per quarter to be shown by tracking category rather than as a whole. There is not an option on the current VAT report to add the tracking categories, therefore I think this would add benefits to any client that uses tracking categories for departments.

    Thanks for your response, Jordan. Can see why the Account Transactions report won't fit in this scenario. 

    To be upfront we don't have current plans around this with much of our reporting teams focus on change in the new reporting framework in lead up to removing older reports in July this year - More on this here 

    I've slightly amended the title of your idea and we'll feel out the interest for this here and update if any change is planned. 

    For now if not already, I'd highly encourage sharing link to the idea here with your clients and colleagues that'd like to see this to support, too. 

  10. I would love the ability to view the Journal entry created by each transaction, from the transaction itself (without having to leave the transaction to pull a journal report). QBO has this option and I find it very useful.

  11. Xero Analytics Plus cashflow to show a year not just 90 days.
    The current cashflow upgrade from Xero only shows up to 90 day which is weird as in reality you need to forecast for the year. Is this going to be extended to a year like all the other cashflow apps ?

  12. When I reconcile an expense and attach a receipt, if I then assign that expense to a customer, I have to upload that receipt again to attach to invoice, can this not be changed? If an expense has a receipt attached, when this is assigned to a customer can it not just bring receipt along with it?

  13. It would be really useful to be able to track who made changes to the GST return, including who has reversed a return after it has been filed. If available it would allow a discussion to be had with the relevant person as to why the changes were made - which would save time. A recent example of this is when a GST return was filed and payment of the amount due was made. At a later date the return was then reversed and it is unclear who did this and why.   14. It would be great to have a feature where a person gets a reminder that an invoice for a project should be sent out soon. Here is the scenario:

    There are multiple projects in our organisation and they are led by different people. Each project lead is responsible for sending out invoices for their projects as agreed with the client, which could be monthly or bi-monthly or at the start, middle and end of the project.

    Hi community, sometime on since my last post we wanted to provide an update for your all here and appreciate the continued attention this idea is receiving.

    We want to be upfront that at this time focuses for the team are in other areas of bank reconciliation and we don't have any current plans for developing the ability to import and export bank rules from an organisation.

    We understand and know this is important to everyone that has voted for the idea and will continue to review and pay close attention to the feedback and votes here. When there is more opportunity for the team to refocus efforts here we will keep you informed of any progress.

  17. I need to produce a monthly list of completed projects ie all jobs finished and paid in a month but when you produce a report, and set the dates from 1st to 31st, it goes by invoice/expense date so, if 1 invoice in a project paid in the beginning of the next month, it puts that invoice on its own in then next month, thus splitting the project so not showing the correct profit margin.
