  1. There is currently a way one sync from Jobber to Xero. It would be great if a sync from Xero to Jobber can be implemented to records payments in Jobber as soon as a transaction is reconciled in Xero. Similar to what is being one with Thryv and other integrations. This will save me about 1 hour of effort everyday and about 5 hours monthly when the bulk payments come in. I have tried to implement this myself however Jobber API support states they will only allow this if a partner works with them like Quickbooks and Stripe.

Hi Jaco, I want to be open that we don't typically design and build integrations with other apps ourselves. We have a Xero Developer ecosystem where interested parties can come to get information on how to integrate and sync data from Xero with their application. If not already, I'd suggest letting Jobber support team know this is something you'd like to see and if they'd consider expanding their integration for.

  2. When adding a bank fee adjustment during the details entry of a reconciliation, it'd save a click to automatically place the cursor focus on the contact field. This already happens when we click to add details to a reconciliation, so it makes sense for the same behavior to occur when we click to add a bank fee adjustment. One click...hundreds of times...lots of efficiency!

Big thanks to Matthew for kicking things on this! The idea is to have the cursor default to the contact field when adding a bank fee during reconciliation. It’s a small change, but when you’re working through heaps of transactions, it can save a lot of time.

If this would make your workflow smoother, we’d love to hear more from you. Add your vote or drop a comment to let us know, it helps the product team see how much this matters across the community.

We’ll keep you posted here as things move along.

  3. It would be extremely useful if we could view VAT on the dashboard of mobile phone app. Director only uses Xero on his phone so can never keep track of what VAT is due.

Thanks for your idea here, Sue. Understand how different details would be helpful for different users on the go through the Xero Accounting app.

This isn't something we have plans for right now, but we'll continue to track the interest from your idea here.

  4. When reconciling bank account, then publishing it should display the bank details as setup in chart of accounts - it just just says bank reconciliation. So makes it hard to know which report is which. Once reconciled it should default to the the next date so you don't have to change dates continuously.

  6. When using the xero me app to capture an receipt image to upload to an expense, the capture is much too quick, and does not allow enough time for the phone camera to focus. Also it does not support multi receipt capture.

  7. Currently all reports can be Exported to PDF, Excel or Googlesheet. Please add an option to export to CSV. This file would not have report headings, just column headings.
When exported data is to be imported into another system it is time wasting to have to remove the heading lines and convert the file to csv.
Seeing that Xero requires all it's import files to be in csv, it's odd that this is not an option for the reporting side of things.

  8. We would like to see the credit limits included in the Aged Receivables Details, as well as in the Summary. This way, when we are working with detailed reports, it will be easy to see if a customer has exceeded their limit without having to run a separate report.
The amount could be placed as an extra column on the total amount of each client in the report.

  9. It would make a quick check of allocations so much easier if the dashboard for bank accounts allowed you to customise the "account transaction screen" so you could toggle between options like you can under reports - account transactions. By enabling account codes to show in the "cash book side" would help us identify misallocations so much quicker and the data is there ...

Appreciate the feedback on the use you found with the previous worksheet.

With the newer BAS while there is no GST calculation worksheet, you can run a Custom Date report to get YTD figures, which can be accessed through the Activity Statement dashboard.

Being open we don't have plans of adding the worksheet to the new BAS report at this stage, however we'll continue to get a sense of interest on this here and share if there's any change.

  11. Currently, when generating management reports in Xero, users have the ability to compare data across prior months and multiple periods. Some reports, like the Cash Summary, also include an “Average” option, which is a helpful feature for identifying trends.

It would be highly beneficial to extend this “Average” functionality to all relevant reports—particularly the Profit & Loss report—to provide more consistent and insightful analysis.

Additionally, the current average is calculated based on the financial year to date. This approach becomes less useful at the start of a new financial year when only limited data is available. To improve this, it…

  12. We have standing orders set up for multiple properties for water rates, business rates, electricity and rent all of which are invoiced quarterly/six monthly/annually.

Can we have the ability to create bank rules for supplier overpayments to a contact??

  14. When a custom P&L is created it does not update if there is any change in the chart of accounts. For example, if we move a nominal from the P&L to the BS it will still show in the P&L if the custom report was created before the move. This is a major flaw and when raised with Xero we are told to just re-do the custom reports, some of which take a long time to do.

  15. We all know that legally we have to have a receipt for each transaction, it would make life (and my brain) so much easier if on the reconcile page when it shows up as green (for an existing matched bill pending) that it would be a different colour if that bill had an attachment on it so I wouldn't have to check before pressing the 'ok' button. A simple one but something that would save so much time and surely the programming to match for the green can be amended to identify an attachment on the bill.

  16. In Invoice preview for a non- taxable line item there is a tax rate on the line item. At the bottom where tax is calculated the total tax is correct (it does not include tax on the non-taxable item). It is confusing for a client looking at the invoice, they may think they are being taxed on the non-taxable item. Can invoice preview show 0% tax on the non-taxable item and the correct tax % on the taxable item.

Hi Larina, thanks for raising this point about invoice clarity. We agree that it's really important for customer-facing documents to be as clear and easy to understand as possible to avoid any confusion.

We've reviewed your suggestion to have the Invoice preview explicitly show a 0% tax rate on non-taxable line items, while still showing the correct rate on taxable items. We can see how this would make the invoice breakdown much clearer for your clients.

Your idea is now open to gain support and feedback from other members of the community. Along with votes, we encourage others to share their own experiences and comment on how this change would help improve clarity on their invoices.🙂

  17. The ATO has announced a Sharing Economy Reporting Regime Report (SERR) where all Sharing Economy businesses also known as 'EDP operator' (electronic distribution platform) also known as "Intermediary" are required to report twice a year. When will this Report be prioritised by Xero?

  18. Currently when you dispose of an asset from Fixed Assets, there is a fixed journal in place where you can't change the codes.
I would suggest that these can be customisable.
Yes, it can be corrected with a manual journal but it would be more efficient if we could adjust the nominal codes.
