Pay with Wise | Include Batch number in failure notifications
I had an issue where I made a couple of batch payments via Wise Pay and one of those batches had an issue and I received a notification on Xero that 2 payments had failed. The notifications do not refer to the batch number. Please can this be added as it would be a great help in identifying the correct batch of where the issue lays in the future.
1 voteHi all, while we removed the Pay with Wise as a follow on from our last update we wanted to confirm that we have released UK bill payments in Xero.
Customers in the UK can set up direct bank transfer as a payment method for GBP bills to quickly and securely pay bills. Funds are transferred from your bank account by Crezco using open banking. The availability of open banking in the UK has enabled us to offer this on-platform. 🙂- Read more on our Blog

Excel/Google Sheets Integration
The ability to have a live feed between Xero to Excel/Google Sheets so that we can create our own custom reports outside of Xero.
1 voteHi Adam, do want to be open that we don't have intentions of creating a live feed of data into Excel/Google Sheet.
Many of the reports in Xero can be exported to Excel or Sheets.
Keen to better understand the data you're looking to be able to incorporate in your reports - Can you give a bit more detail about what is currently missing that you'd like to see in reports?

Bank account verification
With cheque books out of circulation and therefore not being able to supply a bank deposit slip for proof of bank account number - a form showing our company bank account name and number where we dont have to take a screenshot of the dashboard and white out information. May exist already or an easier way?
1 voteHi Trish, as a form of verification this is best provided from your bank rather than Xero.
We'd recommend approaching your financial institution/bank for a form such as this that can verify your bank account name and number.

Reporting - Add graph from old account summary into the new to track progress
Add the graph from the old account summary report to the new reporting as people use it to track progress. I understand this feature will be turned off next June/July so would be good to have it moved over to the new reporting
1 voteHi Jennifer the graphs in older versions of reports have been removed as they were running off old technology that is no longer supported.
There are ways of getting more if a visual view of performance in new reporting with tools such as Xero Analytics, and our teams have also added charts to the Income & Expenses by contact reports to help you keep a track of your top customer and suppliers at a glance.
It'd be good to understand is there is something missing within these tools that you'd like to see added or improved.

Appreciate your feedback, Sarah. Being honest we did receive a lot of feedback around these default.
Our team made a recent change to have this ticked by default based on feedback and from monitoring usage of the feature and we don't have intentions of changing this back anytime soon and I'll shift the idea to not planned.
While we'll close this idea, we'll continue to track if there is significant response to the importance of this from our community. Thanks

Credit note - Explanation
Credit note - please do not change any unit price after a partial credit has been raised
For example, we have invoiced (tax exclusive)
Quantity / Unit price
2/ 25
2/ 25
2/ 25
4/ 25
2/ 50
3/ 50
4/ 50
10/ 50Client request to have credit on one of the lines (tax exclusive)
Quantity / Unit price
2/ 25After the credit note approved, client request another credit on the same invoice. Now, when we go to the invoice and add credit note, Xero will show, (tax exclusive)
Quantity / Unit price
2/ 23.96
2/ 23.96
2/…1 voteHi Cargo Plus, it's a bit hard to confirm the scenario you've noted here - although do appreciate the detail you've given.
I'd recommend coming into Xero Support by raising a case through Xero Central where one of our specialists can dig into the detail to help explain and provide understanding of the best way to handle these situations with your clients. -
Credit limit integration with API
My client uses a third party system to integrate invoicing from Point of Rental (Syrinx) to Xero. Previously their was a "skype" field with the credit limit and P of Rental would pick this up and update the Point of Rental system.
This has been disabled by Xero and apparently Point of Rental cannot use the credit limit field in Xero to update their System.
Could Xero Allow their credit limit field to be used for the API ?
Any ideas
Richard M
1 voteThanks for the detail in your idea here, Richard. Appreciate why you'd like to credit limits to be available via the API.
We have a separate channel to collect and share back ideas around our ecosystem and the API - I'll close your idea here not really being the best place to capture this.
Welcome to join in and support the idea that's been raised for this across in our Developer Community 😊

Stats function for Hotels - Rooms available, rooms sold and sleepers
In Hotels we have different statistics, other accounting software allows for this to be entered into the system, eg Rooms available, rooms sold and sleepers.
1 voteHi Katie, the statistics and fields that would be required to track the sort of detail you're asking here extend quite a bit beyond what Xero's designed for at present.
You may want to look into an integration through Xero's ecosystem that can help with your needs here - I've done a quick search for Hotel management apps here

Contacts - the ability to set the AP Liability account
Contacts - The ability to set the AP Liability account for a contact to any balance sheet liability account for this contact. Eg Tax Liability Account, Specified Finance Liability account
This would also necessitate the ability to have multipl AP liability accounts.2 votesAppreciate you'd like more control to track accounts payable for your contacts, Andrew.
Being open we don't have intentions of changing the way Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable work with contact balances in Xero - These are impacted by the invoices and bills that are entered in your org.
If you'd like to set up secondary AP and AR accounts we have a help article that explains more on how to do that, here.

Rapyd Automatic Reconciliation
Add automatic reconciliation for users of Rapyd. At the moment the way Rapyd is exporting statement in csv format makes bank reconciliation for Rapyd users extremely cumbersome. If Xero could implement an automatic reconciliation service as they have done for Stripe would be great.
1 voteHi Jan, with Xero's open API many integrators have designed and built their integration with Xero themselves.
We don't generally develop third party integrations ourselves, and do want to be open in the forums here.
We'd recommend approaching Rapyd to see if this is something they may consider enhancing in their integration with Xero.

American Express statement downloads
American Express has dropped the function of being able to download statements in OFX format which could easily be loaded into Xero, and now only offer PDFs. Can Xero put any pressure on Amex to re-introdcue the function? Not practical to individual load transactions, and without the bulk download feature Xero because less useful/valuable to Amex users.
1 voteHi Lloyd, being open it is unlikely for a push from our end to influence. However, there is a Feed connection available through Yodlee which you could connect and could better serve for on-going imports 🙂

Account transactions available via API
Could you please allow account transactions to be available via API.
1 voteThank you for sharing, Mike. While Xero Product Ideas is a place for requesting changes for features in Xero, the Xero Developer Community link that you’ve shared here is the best place to raise any API, Ecosystem, and Integration ideas.
In saying that, I’ll close your idea here, so others who come across this post will know where they can go for more information on this. -
Reporting - Show decimals on older reports
Hi there,
I've tried the existing integrations with Shopify and Xero and the only partially viable option available has many problems. We're using this for our website https://discountoffice.co.nz. We've given up on automation between the two platforms and now manually invoicing at the end of the day which consumes a lot of our time. Do you have any plans to develop an official app to integrate the two platforms?
1 voteHi team, with newer versions of many of the older reports now in place, we don't have plans for making further change to Xero's older reports.
In Xero's newer reports you'll find the option to include decimals under the 'More' option.

1099 Reports - Multiple changes
The 1099 functionality is not all that helpful currently with the way US laws are.
From what I understand about 1099-Misc, there are three key things that determine whether or not you must provide for a regular vendor (there are lost of odd rules for attorneys and the like so I'm just writing about your regular vendor.)
1) Usually only applies to payments >= $600
2) Usually excludes Corporations
3) Usually excludes payments made by credit card or 3rd party network like PayPal due to 1099-KFrom the IRS Website: Form 1099-K. Payments made with a credit card or payment…
1 voteHi everyone, we appreciate feedback and conversation on how we could improve Xero's 1099 reporting over the years.
Some time on from when this idea was first shared on Feature Requests - We've made lots of updates to Xero's 1099 and I'd like to round back on some of the ideas raised here.
👉 Majority of account types can now be selected in the rules set up
👉 We released Contacts Management which allows you to update a contact's W9 business classification, and a checkbox to automatically add them into a 1099 contact group, and select this group in your rules. If they're a corporation, don't tick the checkbox, and they won't appear in reports.
👉 As per IRS guidelines, any payments made via a credit card or third party network are reported on a 1099-K form.
👉 At this time we don't have plans for developing the ability to… -
Starring/saving reports
Previously, in Xero, you could star/save a report by going to the reports page and either looking for the report in the summary tab and then clicking the star next to the report you were looking for, or by using the search bar in the top right hand corner to find the specific report and then starring/saving it after you had searched for it. Now, when you try to star/save a report after typing something in the search bar, the report will not save. Additionally, when you attempt to switch tabs from Summary to Custom/Adviser/Draft after doing this, the system…

ANZ Credit Card Bank Feed Information - Payee shows in description column
At present when reconciling ANZ credit card bank feeds the Payee name is shown in the description column as opposed to the Payee Field. The only workaround to this issue is to setup a bank rule. As a result of this issue, all non bank rule transactions show with "unknown" in the "To" field of a spend money transaction. Come on ANZ you can do better! please fix this.
1 voteHi everyone, the transaction info imported into Xero is provided directly by the bank.
How each bank imports data into Xero differs between them, which is why some banks import how you like, and others (ie. ANZ credit cards) don't.
Though we can appreciate how working with ANZ to change where the payee imports would be helpful, it'd require massive changes for all customers who've already set up bank rules.
With this being said, we've decided to close this request as we aren't looking to change how this info imports at this time.
Always welcome to reach out to support if you'd like some help setting up bank rules instead 🙂

BAS - Withholding Payer Number (WPN) without ABN to be accessible in Xero
Ability for a client that only has withholding payer number and no ABN to be able to lodge tax declarations or payment summaries.
Purpose: To easily comply with ATO regulations.
26 votesThanks for engaging and sharing your interest for enabling Xero to support STP and auto super for WPN payer withholders.
We want to be upfront with you all, that there are no plans to support this feature at this time. We understand this may mean looking for alternative solutions that can meet your needs at present. If there's any plans made in the future we'll communicate this through the idea here. -
Fixed Assets - Revaluation
Ability to revalue an asset in Xero.
Purpose: Because some assets need to be re-evaluate. Especially for businesses that holds property with its value increasing
101 votesHi everyone, we wanted to loop back on the outcome of the survey we did. Our product team have used this feedback, and looked into building this feature but at this stage want to confirm that this work is not currently on our roadmap.
As a global business with many requests for our different regions and needs, we are not able to build everything at once.
We appreciate this is not the news you’d like around this but do want to be upfront with you all here to help you make the best decisions as needed for your businesses. If things change, we’ll communicate this with you through the idea here.

Reporting: Aged Reports - Run in different currency
Ability to run different currencies in Aged Payable report.
Purpose: Because some organisation make their sales in a different currency, so it’s beneficial for them to run these reports using different currencies.
264 votesHi everyone, thanks for all the valuable feedback and ideas shared regarding aged reports in different currencies.
It seems that this idea picked up several different themes over time so we want to clarify where we’re at with this. In the past few months our product team has worked hard to improve the functionality in this area. That includes releases for totals when run in a single currency - so you can see a total of your foreign currency, and disclosures 🎉
We’ve introduced FX disclosures on the Aged Reports, which displays as a note at the bottom of your report or as an icon next to figures on the report to indicate that they include revalued foreign currency amounts to give you more flexibility. The disclosure will contain all the currency information that has been used to calculate the figures in your report. The exchange rate note will display…
