Manual Journals - Add a Reference column
MANNUAL JOURNAL
Please add a reference column for us to fill up so that posted journal are document in sequence number. The journal ID is actually act as audit trail Instead of journal reference number.
Also, pleas please allow journal entries to be able to post entries to bank...its such a miserable, while journal entries supposingly existed to pass adjustment but doesn't allow pass entries....

Tracking - Link options within categories
It would be helpful to link our 2 tracking categories together. As it stands, we've got departments within our business as tracking category 1, and divisions as category 2. It would be so helpful if we could put default links in place, as each department links directly to a specific division in the business. That way, when we go to post sales & purchase invoices to the ledger, once a division is added to the tracking category field, the division is automatically populated.

Inventory - Identify top customers for an item
When reviewing a business' product range for the sake of refining and optimising, we need to identify which customers purchases what products and in what quantities and to what value.
E.g. if I have a butchery, I would want to know who my top purchasers of beef products are and my top purchasers of pork products, and how much those customers spend on beef and pork respectively over a given period.3 votes -

Hubdoc - Set rules when importing bills
The way that you can preset (and save) coding in spend money bank rules in Xero between "Fixed items" and "remainder items", it would be extremely useful to be able to do this with bills that are uploaded to Hubdoc.
You would then also be able to save the multiline configuration in Hubdoc so that when the bill autosyncs with Xero it has the desired split between fixed and remainder items.

Account Transactions - Tab through fields for data entry
Ease of entering - ability to tab into 'Description' field when in 'Amounts are' field.

Reporting | Draft - Warning or prompt to Save
Could you please implement a warning sign when closing a report in draft especially if changes have been made anywhere in the report or within the layout (example: Do you wish to save draft").
Reason: I often forget to click on 'save draft' or accidentally navigate away and end up losing all changes.

VAT late claims report
Hi,
Something that would be very helpful as an accountant, is the ability to run a report for a given date which shows all the transactions where the VAT was claimed/paid on a later return. I know that the VAT reconciliation report doesn't work with MTD.

For those that aren't already across, though manual at present you could run the Account Transactions report to manually reconcile against your filed VAT returns.
We appreciate the process could be more automated. Though this isn't something we have immediate change planned around atm, we'll update you here if there's any news.

Bank Reconciliation - Show credit card number when reconciling
See card number when reconciling
There is no longer a card number on the bank statement line when reconciling.
This was really useful as we have multiple business cards connected to the same account and we need to know which employee made the transaction (which we identified through the credit card number)

Invoice Reporting (Payables) - Ability to include Planned Date as a separate column
In the new reports you can run a report, by supplier, of invoices that are due and planned to be paid, which is great. There is a differentiation between due and planned in both screen detail and reporting. The schuduled/planning option enables users or managers to plan which invoices they wish to pay either by viewing on Xero or running in a report. However, the reporting option puts the two together by adding in an invoice wiht the same due date, if a planned date has not been entered. Bills - Set up repeating payments
If I'm paying a bill by monthly direct debit (say Business rate), it would be useful to have the ability to set up multiple payments instead of having to set up 12 separate identical monthly payments.

Bank Feed - Add First Citizens Bank (Commercial Advantage) feed
Xero has some feeds for First Citizens but apparently not for FCB Commercial Advantage customers. It's worth noting that Commercial Advantage is for FCB's bigger customers albeit We're a $5MM revenue entity so we're not really that big. And Commercial Advantage is accessible nationwide (USA). Furthermore, FCB is not a regional bank anymore. I mean, they bought Silicon Valley Bank after the collapse so I think it's safe to say they've got some size to them. I exported the Detailed Account Transaction Report. Additional column I need is the transaction number so I could group or filter the specific transaction/s that I want to conduct further analysis.

Invoices - Option to include unpaid invoice total in the Total Amount Due
New Invoices - Option to Reflect All Open Invoice Totals in "Total Amount Due"
It would be helpful to have the total amount due reflected in the total amount due for new invoices.
I already send customers reminders, account statements, etc. Perhaps some customers do not read what I'm sending to them. If the total amount due was on the invoice, it would be very clear as to the total amount owed.1 vote -

Generate Reports with Trailing Time Periods
I want to have a report that tracks how my business is doing on a trailing X-day time period. Standard windows I view are 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days.
I would love it if I could create a custom P&L report that looks at the financial health of my business over the last 30 days whenever I open it up.
The current work around is to manually specify dates by calculating what was 30 days or 90 days into the past which works, but is annoying.
