Just Ask Xero(JAX) - Ability to turn off (after it goes live)
Today, I received an email from Xero, enthusing about the upcoming feature called JAX "Just Ask Xero". Apparently, this is a generative AI assistant.
Once it goes live, I will want to know how to turn it off. I will never use it - if I need help creating an invoice, there's a help file for that, and checking an AI's work takes as long or longer than just doing it myself in the first place - and see no reason to waste processing resources on something I will never use. 92 votesHi everyone, thanks again for your feedback. We’re continuing to make changes to JAX, including how it’s controlled in your organisation.
While you can’t remove the JAX icon from your organisation (as JAX is in beta), you can change your users’ permissions to access JAX or opt out. To opt out, open JAX, click on ‘Settings’ then scroll down and select ‘Opt out’.
With the revamp of Xero Product ideas in July, we will no longer accept ideas for the removal of a new feature in Xero. We have provided your feedback to our Product team and will assign this idea to ‘Feedback’.

Batch Payments - Option to lock bank account numbers
I would like to be able to choose to lock the Bank Account field in the Batch Payments screen where you can change/add bank account numbers. Making the user add the bank account number into the contact screen and the redo the batch payment so it draws that information from there - and any changes from here are notified to the Contact Bank Acc Admin.

It sounds like you're aware that currently a user needs to have the bank account admin user permission to edit the supplier bank account details, either via the batch payment, or direct in the supplier's Contact record.
At the moment, any changes made to the supplier’s details from the batch payment are automatically saved to their Contact record.
Just to confirm, are you looking for users who already have the bank account admin access, to need to edit the Contact first, and for the Contact Bank Account Admin to be notified?

Files updates
Dissatisfaction with the recent changes made to Xero’s file management system. Specifically, we’ve observed that frequently used files are now being archived, which is both counterintuitive and disruptive to our workflow.
Files should only be archived when they are no longer in active use. Archiving regularly accessed documents creates unnecessary confusion and inefficiencies.
This change will require our business to retrain over 100 clients on how to navigate the updated system—resulting in a significant and avoidable cost to our operations. We view this as an unnecessary adjustment that negatively impacts usability and productivity.

These enhancements to Files are the first big step in our plan to provide a great document management system within Xero with;
- A more structured filing system, giving you a clear view of what still needs to be done.
 - Streamlining the reconciliation and review workflow by allowing side by side preview and a clear distinction between documents needing action vs those that have been attended to.
 - Paving the way for future enhancements and functionality that have been highly requested by our customers
 
We appreciate it may take a little time to adjust to the changes, but believe these changes will provide more benefit in the long term for managing documents.

New Xero Fonts - Feedback
NEW DISPLAY FONTS - CAN'T STAND THEM.
Xero has changed all the display fonts and this is a major change to how everything looks and reads. Xero should ask users if they want the legacy fonts and display or the new one. Fonts and display make a massive difference and Xero should not underestimate how much difference they make to customer's lives. This is much harder for me to read and for me a significant degrade in how i see the product

I want to assure you that the teams did a lot of testing and research of the navigation changes to ensure the experience would suit majority of users. While I will move your post here to Feedback, if there are specific changes that you feel could improve the font for you please start a new idea and we can get a sense of the interest in this build throughout the community here. Thanks

User Role - Products and services
A permissions setting to control whether or not a user can create a new "product and service" would be valuable. Too many user creating new products, services and SKUs leads to a mess.
