  1. Add in ability to forward date when a superannuation payment is processed. I would like to submit the authority when I review the monthly super but have the payment not made until it is actually due, which would be a date in the future that I enter.

  3. Allow a timesheet to be created for the week ahead of the pay week. This allows employees with standard hours to enter their hours in advance. It also allows managers to run payrolls in advance if circumstances need it

The Pensions Act 2008 requires all employers to enrol their eligible employees into an auto-enrolment compliant qualifying workplace pension scheme, if they are not already in one, and pay specified minimum contributions. At the moment there is no way to check if and when the letter was sent to the employer. As this is a point on our audit checklist for all our clients would it be possible to add a field showing the date when the letter was sent out to an employee or ideally add it to a pension report.

  5. The current option available for updating the time in lieu of XERO is to previously inform the fixed number of hours that will be added to the leave balance in the leave register. However, the number of hours varies each week, so I cannot predict in advance how many hours each employee will work.

    My suggestion includes an automatic update from the time in lieu of using a timesheet. Thus reducing the probability of errors by entering the balance manually.

  6. When a company changes their payroll frequency to a new calendar there is no prompt to adjust the leave accrual.

    For instance, I recently changed my client from Fortnightly to Monthly Calendar.
    I adjusted each employee to the new calendar.

    On their Leave tab in the set-up of the leave accrual it asked the question:
    Hours a full-time employee works in a Fortnightly pay period
    When I changed the calendar to monthly this question changed to:
    Hours a full-time employee works in a Monthly pay period
    There was however no prompt to adjust the answer, the previous answer just transferred…

  7. Add a second email address for an employee, for their payslips to be sent too - i.e. if payslips need to be sent to an employment agency each pay run, their email address can be added and payslips automatically sent here each pay run, rather than manually downloading payslips to send outside of Xero.

  8. UK Payroll- Access to a communal time off calendar for all employees.
    As a smaller business we try to have one employee off at a time where possible- it would be hugely useful if they could access a shared leave calendar in the same place as they request leave & submit timesheets from. This would pull data from my admin overview calendar and stop me having to create external calendar in iOS and another in android which leads to missing data etc and wasted holiday requests. They could see if the leave they want is available prior to the request.

  9. timesheet - indicate public holidays + add radio buttons selection for:
    1. pay as normal (public holiday)
    2. worked holiday + entitled to 1.5 pay + day time in lieu
    3. worked but not entitled (no extra pay or time in lieu)

  11. Currently in Payroll History you can filter activity by Type and select 'Employees'.

    This is too broad to be able to easily pick up bank account changes. eg for 1 month there are 959 entries over 4 pages (which need to be manually clicked to load).

    The entries have the type of 'Employee: Bank Accounts'

    Features requested ;
    1) Add a 'Subtype' filter for Employee events; of which 'Bank Accounts' should be an option.
    2) Add ability to Export the report to PDF from initial screen without having to load all the other items.

  13. Payroll Bill
    When submitting VAT Xero now allows you to create a bill that sits on the AP pending payment. Is it possible to have a bill create for Payroll taxes linked to payroll accounts and sits on AP pending payment? This will keep the debt much more visible for companies and make reconciling much cleaner.

  14. We pay our employees under the Electrical award which includes several compulsory 'All Purpose' allowances that are now reported separately as per STP2. Why are these allowances excluded from an employee's annual salary on their payslip? They used to be included as part of their base hourly rate - therefore included in their annual salary and as such, should still be included in 'annual salary'. Can you please have the option to 'include in annual salary' when setting up Allowance categories in the pay items?

  15. It would be good if you could go into 'Pay Employees' and next to the STP - Filed or not filed it would be good to have 'Payslips Emailed'. I have no way of checking / double checking if I have sent them.

  17. I work in the payroll team at a business where the majority of our employees are on salaries that include super. This means every July, I have to go into every person's pay template and recalculate what their new salary is (because xero works only on an excluding super basis).

    My suggestion: The ability to select whether a salary is including or excluding super per employee. Then every year when the statutory super amount goes up, I won't have to recalculate everyone's new salary for xero. This also means that an employee's payslip has the same salary as what is…

  18. To simplify payroll it would be great to be able to load more than one account for the payroll batch to be processed from. We currently pay our staff from the salaries bank Account and the Manager from the Owners Bank Account. If there was the option to nominate a different debit account this would enable my payroll to be processed as a batch. Also I would like to be able to batch a transfer for PAYG Tax and Super to go from the Salaries Account to a that bank account.

  19. Ability to show or report the variances/differences between the draft payrun and the prior period payrun.
    This would save a huge amount of time going through each payslip to ensure the usual pay is being processed and nothing has been accidentally added or missed.
    Especially when you have a large number of employees.

  20. "Days paid" on timesheet defaults to number of days loaded in "Salary & Wages".
    It needs to be overridden to actual days worked for the week when a timesheet is approved. Many staff work more or less days than the average and changing each one manually is incredibly cumbersome and has a huge margin for error
